Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience

Are you ready for an authentic Venetian cooking class?

Join me in my beloved kitchen, surrounded by flowers and plants. We will toast with a glass of Prosecco and then we'll get down to our... pasta business!

I'll guide you through the creation of fresh pasta from scratch, following the authentic "Italian grandma recipe"! We'll then make delicious fresh sauces, and, following, I'll teach you how to cook my special dish: the Baked Vegetable and Fruit Pan! In the end we will prepare Tiramisù, the king of Italian desserts, according to the traditional recipe.

After this hands-on course, all you will have to do is choosing your favorite chair and sit at the table to enjoy what you have prepared for dinner with your own hands! Wine, still and sparkling water and coffee are included!

Like many others have shared, Rosa’s dinner/culinary experience is well worth it! Some time has passed since visiting Venice - but I’ve cooked Rosa’s pink veggies/fruits, sauce, pasta, and tiramisu a number of times for special occasions. Rosa hosted just a friend and myself, sharing the table with us and discussed life, travel, family, and of course, cooking over the course of the evening. The experience was one of the more memorable parts of Venice and can now live on for me to share the food with many others. This was an incredible value as well as one of the best meals I had during our trip. Thanks, Rosa!

Rosa immediately made us feel at home. She welcomed us into her beautiful home with her smile and sweetness. We prepared "spaghetti alla chitarra" and we ate it with fresh tomatoes and basil from her garden. Also on the table were ravioli al pesto and the famous "Arcobaleno di Rosa" ("Rosa's rainbow"), a delicious and colourful dish of grilled vegetables and fruit. A simple Italian cuisine that left us with wonderful memories of a pleasant evening of chatting and great food (her "Tiramisù" is amazing!!). We will return as soon as we can!

We had the absolute best experience with Rosa and her translator/partner! It was amazing from the second we got there! Rosa welcomed us into her beautiful home, offered us Prosecco/Juice/Water, and we discussed exactly what we would be making that evening! After a few hours of cooking and learning her many tips and tricks, she set the table beautifully and we shared our yummy creations together! I would 1000% recommend this experience to anyone visiting Venice!

First, I would like to start by saying this class was so enjoyable! The setting, the learning, and of course, Rosa! She has such a great personality and a great method of teaching and I am excited to take what I learned and apply it at home. I would also like to make it known that if you book with Rosa, you should book directly with her. Our group learned that 3rd party sites like TripAdvisor and such are stealing from her. She deserves to get all her booking fees as she is also the one buying all the ingredients. She deserves so much better. - G'

We booked a dinner cooking class with Rosa while on our honeymoon in May. This was our favorite activity in Venice! Rosa and her daughter were amazing hosts. We laughed, drank, cooked, and ate into the evening as if we part of their family. The food is phenomenal, but the company and experience was even better. Rosa and Rosie forever!

The island of Giudecca is characterized by a strong identity: it is a mix between innovation and ancient traditions. Famous for the Church of the Redeemer, it enjoys a beautiful view of San Marco and you will arrive in a moment in Venice with a single vaporetto stop, crossing the Giudecca canal and landing at the Zattere. If you are a tourist looking for the authentic and vital soul of Venice, the island of Giudecca is the perfect destination and here you can stop at the home of our Cesarina Rosa. At her table you can taste typical Venetian dishes: good fish and excellent meat, vegetables and seasonal fruits and get your hands in pasta with Rosa during cooking classes, because "good food makes everyone happy!".
