I eagerly await you for an authentic cooking class to discover the flavors of Bari cuisine. We will start by preparing the traditional focaccia barese, which we’ll enjoy as an appetizer, freshly baked and paired with delicious local mozzarella. For the first course, we will make handmade semolina tagliatelle, known in Bari Vecchia as "lanc d Cas," and serve them with a flavorful fish or mussel sauce. Finally, we will learn to make Sporcamuss, a typical dessert from Bari, which will conclude our experience. I warmly invite you to my home for this fantastic culinary experience, in a relaxed and fun environment with me and my family. I’m happy to prepare vegetarian and vegan alternatives as well.
This cooking class was absolutely incredible! Sara our chef and her daughter Valeria were so kind and informative about the dishes and local food we prepared! It was so much fun to roll up your sleeves and actually work for your lunch! Cannot recommend this cooking class enough! It was absolutely incredible!

Cooking with Sara in her home was a fantastic experience. She shared her knowledge of Italian cooking and the secrets and techniques for success. She was well organized, the sauces for the pastas we made were done in advance. We totally expect we’ll be able to recreate what we prepared with her when we return home. Her cooking was done with love and we were able to share the time with her daughter who assisted her and were joined for lunch by her daughter’s lovely husband and their son. Truly a highlight of our time in Puglia.

We really enjoyed our dinner experience with Sara and her family. She was extremely well prepared and very experienced in the kitchen. Her daughter and son-in-law joined us too. We appreciated getting to experience “real life” in Italy in a normal person’s home. This is probably the highlight of our trip to Italy and we recommend it to anyone who wants a glimpse into regular Italian life and wants to spend time with wonderful people. They even sent us home with our leftovers and lots of pictures of the evening.
