Celebrate an anniversary in the hills of Val d'Orcia

Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

We will celebrate a special occasion amid the gentle hills of Siena, specifically in the Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In my townhouse, reminiscent of a traditional Tuscan farmhouse and wrapped in a warm, family-like atmosphere, we will prepare a dessert that originates from this valley and the Val di Chiana: the Torta Chianciano, a symbol of Chianciano Terme.

Its buttery shortcrust exterior encloses layers of soft sponge cake, soaked in local almond liqueur and filled with creamy custard. To make the experience even more indulgent, we will also prepare a chocolate liqueur to serve alongside this delicious dessert.
