Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Potato gnocchi
  • Fettuccine

Gnocchi have always brought joy to young and old alike. In my house they were prepared on Thursdays, with tomato sauce or meat sauce. Today they can be enjoyed in a thousand variations: parmesan fondue, butter and sage, tomato and mozzarella, cream and gorgonzola, even baked au gratin. We will prepare them with a fragrant basil pesto. And then fettuccine, fresh Roman pasta made only with eggs and flour, similar to Bolognese tagliatelle. We will make them in the most iconic way: tagliatelle Alfredo, a creamy dish of butter and Parmesan cheese born in Rome in 1914. A simple dish, but like all simple things, it requires care. I will guide you step by step!

If I could give Anna 10 stars, I would! Anna showed us how to make Gnocchi with Pesto and Fettuccine Alfredo. She walked us through her process and gave us cooking tips. She even explained the history of each recipe. We really learned a lot about the art of pasta and hope to try and make these recipes at home. Shortly after we started our class it no longer felt like we were strangers, it felt like we were cooking with family and friends. Laura, her translator, was so sweet and did an amazing job. If you want an authentic Italian experience, I would recommend this class to anyone. After all the cooking, we enjoyed our meal together with Anna’s family and friends. It was a great experience and one we will never forget.

We had a wonderful evening with Anna and her daughter Maria in their lovely home, learning how to make Pappa al Pomodoro, Gnudi and a beautiful Torta della Nonna. Each of the five of us participated in the cooking process which was followed by a fabulous meal, enjoying the fruits of our labor as well as the company of Anna and Maria over a glass of wine! It was a wonderful evening and we highly recommend it to all those looking for a unique Tuscan experience!

What an amazing experience with Anna and her English translator Diba. Held in Anna's beautiful home she made us feel like family. My husband does not like liver and loved the liver on the crostini so much that he wanted the recipe. Everything was mouth-watering delicious. We would do this all over again. Thank you!

Our time with Anna and Laura (translator) was so special. Anna was an amazing chef and a great instructor. The food was incredible, something you can’t have anywhere else. We enjoyed our experience and talked for hours. This was a once in a lifetime experience and would 100% recommend this to anyone coming to the area.
