Cooking class: learn how to cook Italian recipes

Private Experience
Your experience
  • Pizza, ficattole and focaccia
  • Lasagne al ragù
  • Tiramisù with coffee

I am a Calabrese who has made Tuscany her home, with an undying passion for cooking. I love experimenting with a wide range of dishes, always adding my personal touch of creativity. Although I focus mainly on Tuscan dishes, I never fail to include a bit of my native Calabria. We will start by making pizzas and focaccias, using a high-hydration dough, and then dive into the art of the famous Tuscan ficattole.

Lasagna is a must in Italy, made in every region. During our class, we will learn how to make a perfect béchamel sauce and assemble lasagna with passion and skill. I look forward to an unforgettable culinary experience, where Tuscan flavors will mix with the joy of my native Calabria.

We had so much fun cooking with Bina and Massimo! My husband, myself and my 3 children (ages, 10, 8 and 4) showed up to our pasta-making class sopping wet after having been caught outside in a rainstorm. Bina warmly welcomed us and dried us off and gave me a warm housecoat to cover myself up with. We cooked, we danced, we listened to music, we ate the most delicious food that we prepared. We ate all together family style and then Massimo made us donuts! We took home leftovers that I heated the next day in our Airbnb. We had the loveliest time with the loveliest people with the loveliest view. I highly recommend this experience with Bina!

Seven friends. One unforgettable evening in Tuscany. We came to Bina’s cooking class as a mix of seasoned home chefs, passionate bakers, and takeout queens — and somehow, she managed to meet each of us exactly where we were. Set against a dreamy backdrop of vineyards and the open Tuscan sky, her kitchen felt more like a vibrant art studio filled with color, warmth, and laughter. From the moment we arrived, greeted with local wine and heartfelt smiles, the experience felt both welcoming and elevated. We started with pasta dough from scratch — a hands-on lesson layered with laughs and techniques we’ll be using for years. While the dough rested, we turned to focaccia, loading it with fresh local ingredients while Bina’s husband, a master baker in his own right, played the perfect sous chef and host. Then came the tiramisu — rich, indulgent, and surprisingly easy to recreate. A little dancing, some wine, a taste (or three) of our freshly baked focaccia, and then it was time to shape our pasta. Bina didn’t just teach us how to cook — she invited us to play, create, and enjoy. My tortellini may have looked more abstract than elegant, but we all felt like artists in the process. We ended the night with a long, laughter-filled dinner under the Tuscan sunset, savoring the dishes we had made and the memories we’d just created. If you’re looking for more than a cooking class — something soulful, joyful, and rooted in Italian hospitality — this is it.
