I am Cesarina Renata and I will welcome you into my home, which overlooks the historic ‘A Fera ’o Luni’ market, with an aperitif featuring Etna wine and local produce, before immersing you in the preparation of two great classics of Sicilian cuisine: pasta alla Norma and ricotta cannoli, about which I will share their history, interesting facts and secrets. Sicily is a land of beauty, art and unique flavours, and its cuisine, renowned throughout the world, embodies fascinating influences and traditions. You’ll find it a fascinating experience to learn how to prepare these iconic dishes so that you can recreate them at home. The pasta alla Norma can be replaced with a seasonal dish, and on request, we can also prepare other traditional Sicilian specialities.

- Renata was wonderful The food was delicious. And her plant filled terrace in the middle of the historic center of Catania where we ate our lunch , was absolutely beautiful. A perfect cooking excursion!
- Renata was a wonderful host, and our time with her was a highlight of our trip! We learned to make ravioli, tagliatelle, pesto, and tiramisu, and we can’t wait to recreate everything at home using what she taught us. She also shared personal stories and local recommendations that made our short stay in Catania even more special. The whole experience felt warm, intimate, and welcoming, and enjoying aperitivo and dinner on her terrace was unforgettable. We couldn’t recommend this experience more!

- What a wonderful experience in Catania! Our cooking class was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. Renata’s was incredibly welcoming, friendly and passionate about Italian cuisine. She made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, sharing her knowledge, traditions and cooking tips. We learned how to prepare delicious homemade ravioli with ricotta, pasta all’Eoliana and tiramisu. Everything was fresh, authentic and absolutely delicious! What made this experience truly special was the warm hospitality and personal touch. It felt less like a cooking class and more like spending an afternoon cooking with an Italian friend. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic Sicilian experience. Grazie mille for such a beautiful memory!
