In a familiar and enjoyable environment you will learn how to prepare 3 typical vegetarian or naturally vegan Sicilian recipes. Panelle is a typical appetizer from Palermo, it is a simple but very tasty dish, we will make it following the old family recipe. I will also reveal my family tricks to make the best fresh homemade pasta, starting from the dough made of water and flour. Handmade cavatelli pasta will be paired with an excellent seasonal sauce you will be told how to prepare. We will also prepare a dessert together: citrus-fruit jelly is a delicate creamy dessert that will amaze you, a homemade treat that you are unlikely to find in pastry shops.This is the perfect experience to join for vegetarian foodies in Palermo.

The knowledge regarding making pasta.. there is actually a science behind it. Of the actual cooking of the ingredients we got from the market and building the amazing local flavors was exceptional!!! I was passionate about cooking and food since I was a child, accomplices grandmother who loved to cook and the whole family who loves to eat well. I therefore decided to pursue a university career in the field of gastronomy. I have faced a multidisciplinary and holistic path that has treated the world of food at 360 o'clock. I love cooking for my family and for others, starting from the choice of recipes and the selection of ingredients. I like to experiment and I'm particularly passionate about pastry and leavened foods. I do research on ancient cookbooks and asking around, especially older ladies, their family recipes. Sicily, like all Italy, has an invaluable gastronomic heritage, whose recipes and preparations vary from house to house, not only between cities and provinces. This gives the palate the opportunity to enjoy the same traditional dishes with different ingredients, techniques and stories.
