Host was wonderful, accommodating and very knowledgeable as well as helpful. Taught me lots even though I love to cook at home...Drove me to the station to catch my train back to Monterosso. I chose this class because the menu was different, I didn't want to just make pesto or pasta and I wasn't disappointed. Also a bonus I hot to try the local wines, homemade blueberry liquor as well as home made lemoncello 🍋 🍋 🍋. A great night in wonderful company and well worth the trip from Monterosso

We had the most amazing experience in Daniela’s home. We felt so welcomed and Daniela was the perfect host and teacher. She showed us how to make perfect gnocchi, served with tomato sauce. We also ate Sgabei, deliocious fried bread, and we got to try her husband’s homemade Limoncino. Nice conversation in between cooking and eating. This is an evening that we’ll never forget, thank you for this memory and when we miss Italy we can now cook Italian food.

Daniella was an amazing host and teacher! We had a great time learning how to make three dishes inside her own home where we felt welcomed. Her home was easy to find and close drive from the port which was very convenient for us as this was as stop for our cruise. The food and drinks were delicious! Definitely recommend for couples and families, as persons of all ages could learn and enjoy. Thank you again!

Best experience with the sweetest Daniela she was so kind to my husband and I on our honeymoon. In our class she taught us how to make gnocchi and tiramisu! Sharing her recipes and her story while cooking. Highly recommend to anyone coming to La Spezia for a visit.

If you are looking for an authentic Italian experience - this is what you need to do! We hade a great time with Daniela and her husband. They were so nice and friendly and made us feel right at home from the start. We made so much good food and learned a lot of things we will take right back home to our own kitchen. You will get to enjoy good food, good company and have a great time. Daniela is such a warm and nice person who takes time to explain and show everything to you. She had prepared really nice fresh ingredients that were a joy to cook with. This is an experience we will remember forever! Thank you so much for making our birthday celebration special!

Cesarina from 2018Location: La Spezia    Languages: Italian and English
The city of La Spezia is located practically on the border between Liguria and Tuscany. It is the ideal starting point to visit the splendid Cinque Terre and other characteristic villages in the area, such as Lerici and Porto Venere. With the sea in front of the city and the mountains behind, it is fascinating to admire it from above from San Giorgio castle, and experience its unique flavor through its culinary offerings, which reflect a combination of land and sea, evolution and experimentation. Seated around Daniela's table, you’ll experience a procession of traditional recipes. Our Cesarina offers the classic cuisine of La Spezia, the result of the fusion of different traditions from the neighboring regions. Daniela's prepares her dishes using simple ingredients. However, once combined, they give life to both strong and delicate flavors at the same time, recipes like 'sgabei' – raised bread dough that is cut into strips, fried, stuffed with cheeses or locally cured cold cuts, 'muscoli' (mussels) in a variety of versions and, of course, an absolute must, 'pesto' (sauce made from basil).
