Small Group hands-on cooking class with 2 pasta recipes and tiramisù

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Fusilli (homemade pasta) with pork cheek and artichokes
  • Orecchiette with organic sauce, goat cacioricotta and fresh basil from the garden
  • Family style Tiramisù

You will be welcomed to a small old farm with a beautiful view of the hills of Lucca. We will start the class with an aperitif in the garden and pick some herbs for the dishes.

Afterwards we will start making tiramisu using my family's recipe. Then we will get down to kneading dough. My origins range from Puglia to Veneto so I will offer you two types of dishes to discover these two regions. Once the dough is prepared, I will reveal a few tricks for preparing sauces in season with local products. At the end, we will taste the dishes accompanied by a glass of wine surrounded by olive trees.

Margherita and Pierre went above and beyond to welcome our family into their home for tiramisu and pasta making. They were excellent hosts and made it a fun and interactive experience. We learned about local agriculture and all of the hard work that goes into making pasta and harvesting olives for making olive oil. We loved getting to visit their farm, learn about all of the herbs and local ingredients they cook with, and how they make use of everything that grows in their garden. At the end of the evening, sitting down for a pasta meal and wine, followed by the tiramisu (a family recipe of Margherita‘s) was the perfect end to an evening. We’d recommend to anyone wanting to experience an authentic taste of local Lucca cooking!

Margherita was wonderful. We had a great time cooking, and the dinner outside afterwards was very nice. A german couple was there at the same time and they were really nice, so everything was perfect. Truely a lovely Italian place in the Tuscan hills. Can highly rekommandert this experience.

Margherita made the cooking class an unforgettable experience on her olive farm in the mountains. She provided 3 great recipes which we had to prepare and gave us a lot of information about the ingredients used and the way how to prepare them. Furthermore, Margherita was very patient and showed us how to improve our handling in making pasta. All in all, it was a pleasure to meet Margherita, her husband and the other two guests in this class and share such a great evening together with a lot of new things learned and very good dinner at the end. We just can say thank you very much for this great evening.

My cuisine is healthy and sustainable, made with natural seasonal products that I harvest and process myself. These are either grown on our farm or sourced from a network of responsible local producers. My preference is to offer vegetarian dishes inspired by the traditional Lucchese Tuscan cuisine, with international influences. For two years now, I have been researching and experimenting with dishes based on herbs, vegetables, and flowers to showcase and familiarize people with the landscape of Lucca's olive groves through the senses.
