I am Silvia, a Cesarina who lives in the historic center of Lucca.

I invite you to join me for a cooking class in my kitchen to learn about the authentic flavors of Tuscan cuisine. We will prepare three types of pasta dishes together: we will start with tasty potato gnocchi served with meat sauce, or alternatively a meatless sauce for those who are vegetarians, using fresh and high quality ingredients. The second proposal is perhaps the most famous, the unfailing homemade pasta, using only two ingredients: eggs and flour. Finally we will make gnudi, ravioli prepared using only spinach, ricotta and parmesan cheese.

We had a wonderful experience with Silvia! We weren’t sure how it would work with our 3 children, but Silvia was amazing and got them all involved, and she was so patient! The food was absolutely delicious. We all learned a few things, made friends, and had a really unique experience. I highly recommend Silvia and her cooking class!

Cooking with Silvia was wonderful! Her apartment was so great and she knew just how to finesse my teenagers and husband, none of whom are really cooks (and this wasn't their idea) And while the food and the cooking were excellent- for me the best part was talking to Silvia at her table after the meal. I felt that after that my children really understood the 'philosophy' of Italian cooking, as well as how to make tiramisu to impress their friends! Bravo. Grazie Mille!

"I love to host and take care of the table, I always try to create a mise en place with some ingredient that recalls the menu or seasonality. I prefer to cook dishes of land, typical of the Tuscan tradition, I do not try too much in desserts... but only not to eat too many!"
