I am Silvia, a Cesarina who lives in the historic center of Lucca.
I invite you to join me for a cooking class in my kitchen to learn about the authentic flavors of Tuscan cuisine. We will prepare three types of pasta dishes together: we will start with tasty potato gnocchi served with meat sauce, or alternatively a meatless sauce for those who are vegetarians, using fresh and high quality ingredients. The second proposal is perhaps the most famous, the unfailing homemade pasta, using only two ingredients: eggs and flour. Finally we will make gnudi, ravioli prepared using only spinach, ricotta and parmesan cheese.

- What an awesome experience. Sylvia was so hospitable and welcoming. Her apartment was enchanting. And her expertise in Italian cooking was clear. She even had some of her grandmother’s dishes. She was adept at managing fun conversations among the guests while concentrating on whether someone’s pasta or gnocchi needed more flour and keeping the work space clean as we went through multiple recipes. It all seemed effortless but surely required attention and focus. All in all the evening was spectacular!
