Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina
Shared Experience
Your experience
I will welcome you to my villa, with large garden and gazebo, where we will taste together the dishes prepared during the class. The recipes will come to life with genuine ingredients: fresh vegetables from the garden, eggs from my happy hens and extra virgin olive oil from our own production. We will begin with a welcome drink, then we will try our hand at preparing tordelli lucchesi, stuffed with meat and seasoned with the family ragout, following the traditional recipe step by step. We will end on a sweet note with the classic tiramisu or, alternatively, the delicious amaretto variant. An experience of sharing, taste and authentic Tuscan cuisine in a cozy family atmosphere.
When your 17 year old son said it was his favorite thing about Italy, you know you’re in the right home making delicious authentic meals with shared recipes to last a lifetime. Thank you Rossana for such a fabulous evening in Lucca!

A very special experience. Rossana and Alberto were the perfect hosts welcoming us into their home and teaching us so much about Italian cooking. Our teenage daughters loved the class and are excited to make their own pasta when we return home. This really was one of the highlights of our trip and we’ve had many. Thank you Rossana, Alberto and of course Arte. It was a privilege to spend time with you all.

Rossana, Alberto and Arte were excellent hosts that welcomed us into their beautiful home. Rossana led our family smoothly through the whole preparation process. While waiting for everything to cook, Alberto took us for a lovely stroll through their olive trees and garden, explaining the family history. Dinner was served in their backyard covered patio and we were sent off with a hug and full bellies.
Everyone loved the whole experience and it was the highlight of our trip for the five of us, including three boys (15, 14 and 11).

Rossana and Alberto were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed their company that we stay longer than the 3 hours.
Felt like we have been friends forever. We learned a lot and loved the hands on experience. The pesto for our pasta was delicious. The apps were yummy as well, the bruschetta with creamy pesto grilled peaches and walnuts was fantastic. The tomatoes and basil from the family garden were delicious and well as the family made olive oil.
The limoncello Tiramisu was unbelievable!
Their home was beautiful as well as the yard where we ate all of the food that was prepared. Rossana’s home limoncello was the beat we ever had.
Our family has two new friends!!
Highly recommend

Prachtige ervaring geweest. Bedankt, Ludovicus

I prefer simple dishes made with just a few wholesome, seasonal ingredients, often harvested directly from my own vegetable garden and orchard. I love to enhance the authentic flavors of the land using extra virgin olive oil that we produce ourselves. My cooking is rooted in traditional Tuscan cuisine, but I also enjoy experimenting: I create original recipes that I carefully jot down in my personal recipe book, built over time with love and passion.
