I'm Flora, your Cesarina in the heart of Tuscany's city, Pisa. When you think of Pisa, you think of the iconic Leaning Tower and the thousands of tourists taking pictures in funny poses at its feet. But there are many other treasures to be discovered under the tower, including the delicious cuisine prepared by me. Cooking has always been a passion of mine, and I have been following the culinary traditions of my family since I was a child. I'm excited to offer you a traditional pasta-making cooking class. We will be making potato gnocchi, garganelli with ragù or sauces with seasonal vegetables, and for dessert, my famous tiramisù. I'll teach you the techniques and secrets of pasta-making, and we will enjoy our creations together. Join me under the tower for a delicious and authentic cooking

Flora and her husband Claudio were amazing hosts and taught us so much about Italian food. We loved learning how to make gnocchi, garganelli and tiramisu and then we really enjoyed sharing the food with them at the end, as well as many other dishes that Flora had kindly cooked us. The food was amazing and we had our left over tiramisu for breakfast the following morning! Flora and Claudio were such kind and interesting people and we really enjoyed getting to know them as well as having the fantastic cooking experience. Would highly recommend this! Thank you both!

No words can express my admiration for the hospitality, exquisite taste and truly Italian cordiality! Flora and her husband Claudio are opened the warm embrace of their home to us, that evening we felt like we were in the family circle. We not only learned the secrets of Italian cuisine (tagliatelle and gnudi were scrumptious!), but also participated in the cooking, according to original authentic recipes and this wonderful experience cannot be replaced by a visit to any famous restaurant. When one thinks of the city of Pisa, the iconic monument, the Leaning Tower, immediately comes to mind, as well as the thousands of tourists intent on being photographed in bizarre poses at the foot of the famous monument. In the shadow of the famous tower, there are other treasures to be discovered, including the delicacies prepared by Cesarina Flora, who lives in the heart of this Tuscan city.  Starting from an early age, Flora carefully followed her family’s culinary preparations and since then has always found in cooking an oasis of serenity, research, knowledge and, above all, a great passion in keeping the local traditions alive. Today she cooks for her numerous friends, creating dishes with new and renewed flavors. She chooses her ingredients with extreme care, insisting that they come from small, highly reputable local businesses.  Her table setting is classic and elegant, using treasured dinnerware and hand-embroidered tablecloths. She has an eye for detail, combining colors based on the food she is serving, as well as the floral compositions and small potted plants.
