Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Bruschetta
  • Lasagna (homemade pasta)
  • Tiramisu

Experience authentic Tuscan living in the heart of the Lucca countryside, in a charming villa surrounded by gardens, a gazebo, and an olive grove. Learn to cook three Italian classics: bruschetta with rustic bread, our own extra virgin olive oil, and fresh seasonal vegetables from my garden; lasagna following my family’s recipe, made step-by-step from pasta sheets to béchamel and ragù (vegetarian option available) and Italy’s most beloved dessert, tiramisù. I’ll share all the recipes and my best kitchen tips. A perfect experience for those who want to blend food, tradition, and nature in a warm, family-style atmosphere.

Beautiful experience! Rossana is a great cook willing to share her family recipes. Together with her husband Alberto, they welcomed me into their lovely home. I enjoyed cooking and then eating different & delicious food. The only surprise was that I had signed up for a group class and it was just me.

Thank you Rossana and Alberto for welcoming me to your beautiful home to make the most delicious lunch. Everything was delicious and I had the most wonderful time. I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone

A sensational experience in a welcoming and familiar environment. Rossana and Alberto (husband) make you feel at home. The family lunch after the cooking class is the highlight of the experience. I highly recommend it!

What a lovely evening with Rossana as Chef and Alberto her sous Chef. I attended with my 3 girlfriends and we all agreed we had a great time. Rossana is a wonderful chef and her recipes were easy to understand and I loved the hands on instruction. I was surprised how new the pasta was to me. I personally love mortadella and to have it in a ravioli really blew my mind. For dessert we made tiramisu. I've always made it with coffee but Rossana said we could make it with Amaretto. Who knew and was it ever delicious! Rossana and Alberto have spent quite a bit of time in the USA and their english is very good. Unlike my Italian. So I really appreciated everything about them. They really do the slow food movement. They get fresh eggs and garden vegetables and have a grove of olive trees for their very own olive oil. I'm very jealous of their fresh and organic products. I can not recommend this couple more. Please spend part of the day in their lovely city of Lucca before heading to their beautiful home for a wonderful experience. Thank you Rossana and Alberto! It was a memorable experience! Best wishes, Jerri

I prefer simple dishes made with just a few wholesome, seasonal ingredients, often harvested directly from my own vegetable garden and orchard. I love to enhance the authentic flavors of the land using extra virgin olive oil that we produce ourselves. My cooking is rooted in traditional Tuscan cuisine, but I also enjoy experimenting: I create original recipes that I carefully jot down in my personal recipe book, built over time with love and passion.
