An old tradition that is repeated every year in many families in Sicily. There is no better satisfaction than tasting all year round the intense taste of fresh summertime tomatoes. It is essential, however, to follow a few rules well.

In this experience you will learn how to make tomato sauce following an old recipe from Nonna, how to choose the ideal tomatoes for prepping sauce, cooking in the pot and importantly storage to enjoy it whenever you want.
We will end the experience as tradition dictates with a spaghetti with the freshly made sauce and lots of basil. A surprise awaits you at the end of the experience!

My mom and I had an amazing time! Booking and communication was clear and efficient. The class was intimate and Alice and Francesco were lovely hosts and teachers. I was passionate about cooking and food since I was a child, accomplices grandmother who loved to cook and the whole family who loves to eat well. I love cooking for my family and for others, starting from the choice of recipes and the selection of ingredients. I like to experiment and I'm particularly passionate about pastry and leavened foods. I do research on ancient cookbooks and asking around, especially older ladies, their family recipes. Sicily, like all Italy, has an invaluable gastronomic heritage, whose recipes and preparations vary from house to house, not only between cities and provinces. This gives the palate the opportunity to enjoy the same traditional dishes with different ingredients, techniques and stories.
