Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina
In Sicily there are also local versions of pizza and focaccia that differ from the regular neapolitan-style pizza in both the dough and the toppings, from one province to another.
In this cooking class you will learn all the secrets to prep a delicious focaccia Messinese. This is a typical baked product from the province of Messina, the city in the Strait, characterized by a thin, crispy dough and topped with Italian curly escarole, tuma sheep cheese, cherry tomatoes and salted anchovies. I will share with you the recipe I learned from my partner's family coming from Messina, a real treat! At the end of the preparation you will taste the focaccia together with a glass of wine or with ice cold beer as tradition dictates.

- Alice was an incredible host and excellent teacher. My mom and I had a wonderful time learning to make pasta and tiramisu with her.

- Wonderful, thank you! 🥰
- We loved our cooking experience with Alice. As vegans, it can be hard to find options and she worked with us to tailor the cuisine and we left with the knowledge to recreate those dishes at home. The class was informative, well paced, and it was incredibly special to have her open up her home to us. Enjoying dinner together afterwards felt like a dinner party with friends. 10/10 would recommend!
