September: a month where the kitchen already possesses all the flavors of fall. It's the season for preserves, jams, and many other delicious preparations that will then accompany us into winter.
In my special menu, I propose an aperitif with a white Montevecchia wine produced by a local winegrower, accompanied by homemade sourdough bread snacks, tartines with my canned vegetables, jam, and country-style salami. For the first course, a pumpkin and gorgonzola risotto followed by what for me is a dish steeped in my family tradition: the 'vitel tunè', or vitello tonnato, cooked according to a recipe passed down from generation to generation. And to finish on a sweet note, a fragrant fruit tart.
