Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Aperitif with local products
  • Black and White Ravioli
  • Tiramisu

I welcome you to my home in the hills of Bologna for an authentic and creative experience! In about 3 hours we will prepare together the classic tiramisu and an elegant version of fresh pasta: black & white ravioli, filled with ricotta and spinach. We will start with the tiramisu, which we will rest while we knead two contrasting pastas, one light and one dark with charcoal. While the dough rests, we will enjoy an appetizer with local products. Then we will roll out the pastry by hand, like true Bolognese sfogline, assemble and cook the ravioli. We will enjoy them accompanied by a good glass of wine, and finally close with homemade tiramisu. I am waiting for you to discover together the authentic flavors of Emilia in an original key!

This lesson was incredible! Roberta was so so sweet and I learned so much from her. We made ragu alla bolognese and it was absolutely delicious. She also offered me wine and tiramisu! Highly recommend!!

Roberta was AMAZING and is a great teacher! She showed us how to make tagliatelle and tortelloni with spinach and ricotta filling. She made us a delicious piadina dish as an aperitivo which was absolutely delightful. We had great conversations about Italy, travel, cooking, and family. At the end of the experience, she shared some of her home made gelato which was divine! When we left her house, we were stuffed! Highly recommend doing any cooking class with her, you will not be disappointed

Roberta’s class exceeded expectations! She accomodated my vegetarian diet but made sure my husband’s wishes were met as well. We enjoyed local wine and specialties. Her kitchen was beautiful, spotless and well appointed. We learned so much and highly recommend!

Roberta was phenomenal and provided everything we hoped for in a Bolognese cooking class, and more. The ricotta and spinach ravioli, and tagliatelle and ragu with her direction was an easy contender for one of our favorite meals in Bologna. And sweet baby Jesus, her tiramisu was the almost forgotten cherry on top after we indulged in the fresh pasta courses, but not one of us left a single bite uneaten. The experience as a whole was so fun and Roberta was incredibly welcoming and accommodating to my family. The class was one of the highs of our whole trip.

I love my kitchen both as a space and as a working environment. I enjoy getting my hands in the dough to make pasta, including thin sheets and shortcrust pastry. Being Tuscan, my cuisine is a blend of Tuscan and Emiliana traditions. From the typical lasagna and tagliatelle to the classic Tuscan pappa al pomodoro, my kitchen represents a fusion of these regional influences. The journey through traditional flavors continues with favorites like tiramisu and the iconic Prato biscuits, perfect for dipping into Vin Santo. My kitchen reflects my passion for tradition and the joy of sharing these gastronomic pleasures with others.
