Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina
Shared Experience
Your experience
A warm welcome to my home in the hills of Bologna, an oasis of tranquility where I will guide you through a unique experience dedicated to the typical Bolognese aperitivo.
During these 3 hours together, we will prepare traditional Bolognese tigelle, piadina romagnola and pesto modenese and then enjoy them together with cheeses, such as Parmigiano Reggiano and squacquerone, cold cuts such as mortadella, sauces and jams. We will taste everything accompanied by carefully chosen local wines such as Prosecco or Lambrusco. We will also prepare tiramisu, which we will enjoy at the end of the meal along with a good coffee.
I am waiting for you to share tradition and conviviality in a cozy atmosphere!

- The entire experience was incredible. Roberta and her husband are so welcoming and easy to talk to and Roberta is a great teacher. We learned how to make tagliatelle con burro e salvia and tortellini/cappelletti agli (/ripieni di) spinaci in the beautiful kitchen, and enjoyed warm conversations about Italy, family and language. An amazing experience like no other - irreplaceable!
- una serata meravigliosa, tra chiacchiere e apprendimenti di arti culinarie
- We had the best time learning how to make handmade pasta and tiramisu with Roberta. She walked us through each step and everything was delicious. We left full, happy and confident in recreating the dishes at home.
- This was the best lasagne I’ve ever had in my life! I’ve tried different Italian dishes in a few restaurants around Bologna before, but none of them impressed me as much as what we made during this class. Roberta led the lesson in such a warm and friendly way – she was kind, helpful, and you could really feel her passion for cooking. The whole experience was engaging and clearly explained from start to finish. If Roberta ever opened her own restaurant, I’d definitely be one of her regulars. I highly recommend this class to anyone who loves Italian food and wants to learn something truly special!
- Roberta is an Amazing cook, she totally made our trip to Bologna, the best food and such a great host. She has a passion for cooking and it's all made with love from Italy. If you want to do something fun, she totally makes it worth it.

Cesarina from 2023Location: Bologna Languages: Italian, English, FrenchI love my kitchen both as a space and as a working environment. I enjoy getting my hands in the dough to make pasta, including thin sheets and shortcrust pastry. Being Tuscan, my cuisine is a blend of Tuscan and Emiliana traditions. From the typical lasagna and tagliatelle to the classic Tuscan pappa al pomodoro, my kitchen represents a fusion of these regional influences. The journey through traditional flavors continues with favorites like tiramisu and the iconic Prato biscuits, perfect for dipping into Vin Santo. My kitchen reflects my passion for tradition and the joy of sharing these gastronomic pleasures with others.
