Shared Experience
Your experience

Just a stone’s throw from the portico leading to the Sanctuary of San Luca, in a bright apartment with a usable terrace, I invite you to a cooking class dedicated to gnocchi. Together, we will prepare potato gnocchi, served both with the classic Bolognese ragù and with a surprising sweet topping, as is traditional in Veneto, my homeland. We will end on a sweet note with the classic tiramisu. Simple, convivial recipes, all ready to enjoy. Laurina, the Cesarina, is waiting for you to cook and eat together!

Laura's class was PERFECT! She and Antonio are great teachers, their home is wonderfully inviting, and the meal was spectacular. We can't wait to go home and try it ourselves! We would absolutely take another class with Laura!

Laura's cooking class was one of the highlights of our trip to Bologna! From the moment we arrived, Laura made us feel so welcome. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and kind, making us feel comfortable even though our English isn't very good. Her son, Antonio, was also very friendly and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We loved learning how to make three different kinds of fresh pasta completely from scratch. It was an authentic, hands-on experience that we'll never forget. The pasta we made tasted amazing and paired perfectly with the delicious wine. We also received the recipes, so we're definitely going to recreate these dishes when we get home. Thank you, Laura and Antonio, for your wonderful hospitality and for sharing your passion for Italian cooking with us. We highly recommend Laura's cooking class to anyone visiting Bologna!

We had a great experience with Laura! She is a great teacher, cook, and hostess. We are grateful to have been welcomed into her home for such a genuine (and fun!) experience. For anyone looking for a impactful Bolognese experience, I would recommend it!

I was having a great pasta-making-experience with Laura and Antonio. It was a lot of fun to make the pasta and Laura and Antonio was great teatchers. They are so sweet and openminded people and the pasta was very good. I will recomend this experience to everbody who visits Bologna in the future. Thanks!!!

Laura and her son, Antonio, were great hosts for our cooking class. After introductions were made, Laura explained the process for preparing the tortellini dough. Then Laura and our grandson put together a chocolate cake while Antonio assisted my husband and me with mixing, rolling out, and scoring the tortellini dough. After that we all put together the tortellini with Laura’s and Antonio’s guidance. While Laura finished preparing the tortellini, the rest of us visited outside on their balcony. It was fun to learn how to prepare some traditional Italian food, plus we thoroughly enjoyed visiting and sharing our evening meal with Laura and Antonio. We plan on cooking and sharing these dishes with our own family and friends when we are back in the states. What a wonderful way to experience a bit of Italian culture. Thank you, Laura and Antonio.

I love cooking risottos, tagliatelle with ragù, carbonara, seafood pastas, as well as meat and fish prepared in different ways, and of course gratin vegetables and various desserts. I’m originally from Veneto, so I can also make baccalà, sweet gnocchi, and other delicacies typical of my region. I also enjoy “borrowing” recipes from other parts of Italy, especially Milanese risotto.
