I love cooking risottos, tagliatelle with ragù, carbonara, seafood pastas, as well as meat and fish prepared in different ways, and of course gratin vegetables and various desserts.I’m originally from Veneto, so I can also make baccalà, sweet gnocchi, and other delicacies typical of my region. I also enjoy “borrowing” recipes from other parts of Italy, especially Milanese risotto.

Laura and her son Antonio were so welcoming and friendly. They were very helpful as we made the tiramisu and pasta! We then all sat and had dinner together and it was honestly like having dinner with the family. I 100% recommend Laura’s cooking class to anyone wanting to learn how to cook pasta, it was just a lovely and personal experience compared to other pasta making classes I’ve done in the past.

If you want an authentic experience. If you want to feel like you’re among friends, then Laura’s class is for you. I didn’t want to leave. The various pastas we made were all so so good. Be prepared to feel loved and lots of laughs. I have been telling all my friends about visiting Bologna and taking Laura’s class.

What an unforgettable experience! Laura and her son welcomed us into their home with such warmth and kindness, making us feel like part of the family from the moment we arrived. They patiently guided us through every step of making fresh tagliatelle and authentic Bolognese sauce, explaining each technique in a way that made us feel confident and capable—even as beginners. Their encouragement, expertise, and genuine passion for Italian cooking made the class both fun and rewarding. Sharing this experience in their home made it feel so much more personal and authentic than a typical cooking class. We left with delicious pasta, wonderful memories, and the confidence to make tagliatelle at home. We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip!

This one-on-one cooking class was an absolute highlight of my trip. I left not just full and happy, but with real skills (and recipes!) we can’t wait to try again at home.

Our experience with our host Laura was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Laura welcomed Buddy and I into her home and made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. This was so much more than a cooking class — it was a beautiful glimpse into Italian culture, traditions, and everyday life. Laura taught us how to make three types of pasta from scratch: farfalle, tortellini, and cocoa tagliatelle. We prepared everything together, learned her techniques, and then enjoyed an incredible meal with the sauces she created from our work. She even surprised us with a dessert at the end of the meal. Her son Antonio was also wonderful and helped translate, making the experience even more personal. Laura’s warmth, patience, and passion for sharing her food and traditions made this unforgettable. She even sent us home with her recipes so we can recreate a little piece of the experience. We are so grateful for the memories and would recommend Laura to anyone wanting an authentic Italian experience.
