I love cooking risottos, tagliatelle with ragù, carbonara, seafood pastas, as well as meat and fish prepared in different ways, and of course gratin vegetables and various desserts.I’m originally from Veneto, so I can also make baccalà, sweet gnocchi, and other delicacies typical of my region. I also enjoy “borrowing” recipes from other parts of Italy, especially Milanese risotto.

We found out that you can also take this masterclass in the morning, so you can enjoy your own pasta for lunch afterward. Laura is incredibly hospitable and a great cook. The fact that she speaks slightly less fluent English is handled very well with the help of an interpreter (a friend), which actually creates a fun dynamic. In short, we had a wonderful morning and would definitely recommend this experience.

My wife and I had a wonderful and fun evening with Laura learning to make traditional Italian dishes. We first enjoyed a glass of wine and an appetizer. We then learned how to make tiramisu. After that, we learned the process for making dough, and with our dough made two types of pasta. After Laura cooked the pasta, we had a delicious meal of our making with Laura, Alessandro and Roberta. The conversation was enjoyable, and we ended the evening with our wonderful tiramisu. This hands-on experience with Laura was a highlight of our trip to Bologna, and we highly recommend Laura's coming class.

Calling it a "cooking lesson" diminishes the true value of this experience. The food is excellent (including an appetizer and a standing-ovation-worthy dessert! generously offered) but what makes the difference is the warmth and genuine smile with which Laura and her husband open the doors not to a kitchen but to a home where a dinner is prepared to be shared with the friendliness and joy of an evening among friends. It's worth more than the price you pay, it's truly priceless!!!
