My name is Matilde Orsi, I am from Bologna, born in 1997, and travelling is not just what I do: it is my way of experiencing the world.I grew up in a land where food is culture, tables are places of connection, and hospitality is a true value. Bologna taught me that the most beautiful stories often begin around a shared meal, and this is the spirit I bring with me on every journey.I studied languages because I believe in the power of communication and in the value of meeting people from different backgrounds, but I soon realised that a sedentary office life was not for me. I need movement, new paths, markets to explore, cuisines to discover and stories to listen to.I am a tour leader and environmental hiking guide: I accompany Italian and international travellers, transforming itineraries into memorable experiences. For me, travelling is never just about moving from one place to another, but about truly discovering a destination through its people, traditions and cuisine.I believe in slow tourism and authentic local experiences: a cooking class, a family dinner, a neighbourhood market or a recipe passed down through generations can tell the story of a place better than any guidebook.From this philosophy, Aperiviaggi Bologna was born: a format I created to bring people together around good food and a glass of wine, sharing travel stories, cultures and inspirations. Because, just like in Emilia’s traditional osterias, we often sit down as strangers and get up as new friends.I am curious, creative and always looking for experiences that leave a lasting impression.
