Hi from Federica!

The restoration of paintings and frescoes is my profession, but my true passion is cooking. The attention to detail required in my work is the same precision I bring to my handmade pasta—tagliatelle, lasagne, tortellini, and tortelloni—all rigorously prepared with fresh dough rolled by hand using a rolling pin.My specialty is ragù alla Bolognese, while for main courses, I love preparing traditional dishes from my region, Emilia-Romagna, such as roasts and meatballs. Vegetables are always present on my table, often with a touch of Neapolitan influence, which also inspires me to prepare some delicious seafood dishes.The view from my home, just outside the center of Bologna and near the Portico di San Luca, is simply breathtaking—I look forward to welcoming you to admire it together!

It was a pleasure to learn from Federica. We made the classic crescenta bolognese as well as a variety of different bruschette. I really enjoyed the evening and everything I learned. Federica is very kind and knowledgeable. Highly recommend, 5 stars!

L’esperienza con Federica e’ stata estremamente appagante. Federica e’ un’ottima cuoca, attenta alle tradizioni e capace di trasferirle ai suoi “allievi”. E’ una cuoca attenta, molto molto cordiale , estremamente disponibile nel riferire ogni dettaglio delle sue ricette. E’ stata molto apprezzata dalla sottoscritta l’idea di proporre due ricette tipicamente emiliane, quali la zuppa inglese e la lasagna. Dopo aver preparato le ricette in questione, Federica ci ha regalato un piacevolissimo aperitivo, composto sia da quello che avevamo cucinato, che da un’ottima spuma di gorgonzola e mortadella; tutto accompagnato da buon vino e consumato nella sua carinissima terrazza, piena di luce, ma immersa nel verde, che garantisce anche un piacevole riparo dal sole. Tutto positivissimo, in particolare la gentilezza e la capacità di spiegare e raccontare le ottime ricette, riscontrata in Federica!
