Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

    Learn about Italian cuisine and the secrets to preparing traditional and authentic dishes.

    We will start with fresh ricotta balls with mortadella, sprinkled with chopped pistachios or hazelnuts. We will make hand-kneaded potato gnocchi together, topped with "butter and gold," the classic tomato sauce of Emilia Romagna. And to finish, a spoon dessert: tiramisu, also available in a chocolate version, without coffee. I will teach you all the tricks to make this delicious menu that you can easily replicate at home. We will enjoy it together, accompanied by local wine, in my attic room just a few steps from the center of Bologna. Possibility of dining on the terrace during the warm season.

    We had a truly wonderful evening. Annamaria and her husband are very hospitable and warm-hearted people. The food we cooked tasted fantastic, and we’re taking some great recipes home with us. If you’re looking for an authentic experience with local hosts, I highly recommend this cooking class.

The class was held on her balcony with a wonderful view over Bologna. After the food prep, we enjoyed And aperitivo then sat down to dinner with Annamaria and her husband as if we were old friends. They were so very welcoming and overall it was a fantastic experience. A highlight of our time in Bologna.
