Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina
Shared Experience
Your experience
Welcome to my home in the hills of Bologna for a unique experience dedicated to potato gnocchi!
First we will prepare tiramisu, the quintessential Italian dessert, which will rest while we enjoy a welcome drink. Next, I will guide you step by step through the gnocchi making process, from the dough to the strands, to creating the perfect gnocchi. We will dress them with tomato or butter and sage and enjoy them together, accompanied by selected local wines.
We will end with our tiramisu and a good coffee. I will welcome you in an environment with attention to detail to share tradition, taste and conviviality!

- Roberta was AMAZING and is a great teacher! She showed us how to make tagliatelle and tortelloni with spinach and ricotta filling. She made us a delicious piadina dish as an aperitivo which was absolutely delightful. We had great conversations about Italy, travel, cooking, and family. At the end of the experience, she shared some of her home made gelato which was divine! When we left her house, we were stuffed! Highly recommend doing any cooking class with her, you will not be disappointed
- Roberta’s class exceeded expectations! She accomodated my vegetarian diet but made sure my husband’s wishes were met as well. We enjoyed local wine and specialties. Her kitchen was beautiful, spotless and well appointed. We learned so much and highly recommend!

Cesarina from 2023Location: Bologna Languages: Italian, English, FrenchI love my kitchen both as a space and as a working environment. I enjoy getting my hands in the dough to make pasta, including thin sheets and shortcrust pastry. Being Tuscan, my cuisine is a blend of Tuscan and Emiliana traditions. From the typical lasagna and tagliatelle to the classic Tuscan pappa al pomodoro, my kitchen represents a fusion of these regional influences. The journey through traditional flavors continues with favorites like tiramisu and the iconic Prato biscuits, perfect for dipping into Vin Santo. My kitchen reflects my passion for tradition and the joy of sharing these gastronomic pleasures with others.
