Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Aperitif with local products
  • Tricolor Tagliatelle
  • Tiramisu

I welcome you to my home in the hills of Bologna for an authentic and colorful experience! In about three hours we will prepare two icons of Italian cuisine: tiramisu and tricolor tagliatelle. We will start with tiramisu, which we will set aside to rest while we knead three sheets of fresh pasta-white, red and green-inspired by the colors of the Italian flag. While the dough is resting, we will enjoy a small appetizer with local products. Then we will roll out and cut the tagliatelle by hand, with a rolling pin as per tradition, and then cook and enjoy them together with a good glass of wine. We will close on a sweet note with our homemade tiramisu. I am waiting for you to cook, toast and celebrate the flavors of Italy!

Roberta is truly a special Cesarina. She is a super welcoming and kind person. I prepared tagliatelle, tortelloni, and tiramisu with her, all excellent and plentiful! We chatted a lot, she answered all my questions, guided me in rolling out the pasta, and gave me valuable culinary advice. Highly recommended!

Roberta was wonderful. Her kitchen was warm and inviting and she was very engaging. She took all the time we needed to explain techniques and the reasons for doing things. She provided additional information on how to make ragu and tiramisu. We talked about family and the region. The food was excellent. Absolutely worth our time and the fee. Thank you Roberta!

It was a pleasant part of the day with Roberta, who proved to be very kind, friendly, and helpful in letting me learn about and "play" with Emilian culture! Thank you again.

Roberta is beyond exceptional from her personality to hospitality to knowledge as a Chef. The evening with Roberta is one of the highlights and wonderful experience we had in Bologna. AND thank you so much for the recipes that you send to me when I got back to Canada. An evening with Roberta is a must as you will look back on the experience for many many years to come. I know when we talk about our trip in Italy, Roberta's name becomes part of the conversation Just an amazing experience and a must if in Bologna

I love my kitchen both as a space and as a working environment. I enjoy getting my hands in the dough to make pasta, including thin sheets and shortcrust pastry. Being Tuscan, my cuisine is a blend of Tuscan and Emiliana traditions. From the typical lasagna and tagliatelle to the classic Tuscan pappa al pomodoro, my kitchen represents a fusion of these regional influences. The journey through traditional flavors continues with favorites like tiramisu and the iconic Prato biscuits, perfect for dipping into Vin Santo. My kitchen reflects my passion for tradition and the joy of sharing these gastronomic pleasures with others.
