Cook with Sabrina in Pompeii Italy 2024 Full disclosure: we are in love with Italy and have visited it many times, exploring it thoroughly from north to south This time, we decided to include a cooking class during our visit to Pompeii as part of a larger trip through the south, which we started two weeks earlier. . We received a warm recommendation from the person who planned the route for us and it was definitely a unique and unforgettable experience. The incredibly charming Sabrina warmly welcomed us with open arms and we immediately bonded with her. The meeting began with a short tour of the garden adjacent to her home where she grows a variety of products that she uses for cooking, and then we entered her cozy home where the workshop was held. We didn’t expect to be the only ones in the workshop, and we were pleasantly surprised by this... it certainly added to the personal and homey experience. A family friend, Angelo, was present throughout the workshop, helped with the translation and contributed to the relaxed atmosphere and fluid conversation. In addition to her passion for cooking and desire to share her knowledge, Sabrina made us feel welcome from the very first moment. Her approach to cooking and teaching, along with the genuine kindness she showed, made this whole experience wonderful. It was a pleasure to learn from Sabrina, to cook and enjoy the food we prepared under her guidance, along with fine wine as befits Italian hospitality, and to finish with a taste of a homemade Italian liqueur. For anyone considering a unique cooking workshop, this is definitely a great option for them. We wholeheartedly recommend Sabrina's cooking class to anyone looking to learn Italian cooking techniques combined with true hospitality. 3 wonderful hours of the afternoon flew by for us and it was definitely worth it. Of course, we exchanged phones and invited her to stay with us in Israel. Ruth and Aviram 12.7.2024

This cooking experience with Sabrina was one of the highlights of our trip. Sabrina was warm, accommodating and welcoming of us to her beautiful home. We met her family and learned about the foods she harvests from her garden and the local cuisines of the region. She was very well prepared, explained cooking procedures well and also had a friend to help with trickier English translations. The pasta and we got to make was absolutely delicious. In total we had a 3 dish dinner and wine(s!) – very satisfying. They even saw us home safely. If you want a fun, local, intimate, memorable experience, this is the one to try! We're super grateful to have such an experience with Sabrina!

Learning to cook with Sabrina was a great treat. She guided us skillfully through the steps of making pasta from scratch for ravioli as well as tiramisu and bruschetta. Cooking and dining on her patio in her garden with its great views and wonderful conversation made for a fabulous experience. Recommend trying your hand and learning some tricks from an experienced cook like Sabrina so you can try on your own later.

Taking a cooking class during our visit to Pompeii, Italy, was quite a memorable experience. Hosted by the incredibly lovely Sabrina, the class was not just an educational culinary adventure but a heartwarming dive into Italian home cooking. Sabrina’s recipes were simple yet incredibly tasty, making it easy for us to plan on recreating the dishes at home. From the moment we met, Sabrina and her family, including a brief encounter with her husband and kids, embraced us with open arms, making the experience feel personal and homey. A family friend, Angelo, was present throughout the session, assisting with more complex translations, adding another layer of warmth to the whole experience. Sabrina’s passion for cooking and her enthusiasm for sharing her knowledge were evident. She possesses a warmth that, combined with her and Angelo’s great sense of humor, made the afternoon fly by in what felt like moments. The session began with a brief tour of her bright and cheerful garden and multigenerational home, setting the stage for an afternoon that felt more like visiting old friends for good food and conversation than a formal class. The setting of Sabrina’s home was cozy and inviting, making us feel welcomed and comfortable right from the start. Her approach to cooking and teaching, coupled with the genuine kindness displayed by her and everyone involved, made this experience truly wonderful. For those considering this class, it is an absolute must-do. If you are staying somewhere besides Pompeii, you have two train stations to choose from. Be sure to bring cash for the local taxi; Uber currently does not operate there, and some do not take credit cards. We arranged a ride back with the same driver, which was seamless, but having their number on hand is a good tip for smooth travel arrangements. We wholeheartedly recommend Sabrina’s cooking class to anyone looking to immerse themselves in the joys of Italian cooking and the warmth of genuine hospitality. We are already looking forward to our next visit and the chance to enjoy this incredible experience again🤗
