Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience

You can't visit Italy without trying at least one pasta dish... So, I'll teach you two! Warm up with the authentic Italian Aperitivo with prosecco and 'stuzzichini' and learn how to roll 'sfoglia' (fresh pasta) by hand and how to prepare 2 pasta shapes from scratch. As the icing on the cake you'll learn the secrets of the iconic Italian dessert: Tiramisù. After this hands-on cooking class, enjoy what you’ve prepared for lunch or dinner with local wines and share your passion for the Italian cuisine as you make new friends. There’s no way to truly experience Italian culture other than a cooking workshop in a real local home.

Cecilia was a great host and teacher. She is very nice and welcoming. It was very fun to make the pasta and tiramisu. She also prepared some focaccia and gave us some wine! The lesson was very informative and interesting.

My fiancé and I had the most incredible experience taking a home cooking class with Cecilia while on vacation in Italy. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel completely welcome in her home. She walked us through every step of making fresh ravioli from scratch and showed us how to prepare authentic tiramisu. Cecilia was patient, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about sharing her love of Italian cooking. What made it even more special was the warm, relaxed atmosphere—laughing, learning, and enjoying amazing food together. It ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip thus far. We left not only with full stomachs, but with new skills and memories we'll always associate with Italy. If you have the chance to take a class with Cecilia, don't hesitate. It's an experience you won't forget!

We were thrilled to make tiramisu and pasta in a very beautiful atmosphere. The course was well-structured, we had choices in the preparation, and were able to take home some good tips. We have already been cooking at home. So delicious! We can highly recommend this course with Cesarine. Cecilia is a very likeable host. The view from the windows was fantastic.

This was truly a wonderful experience. My husband and two teenage girls could not wait for this experience while visiting Italy. Cecilia really made it more than we expected. She was kind and welcoming. We learned a lot about pasta making and she even shared some of her secrets. The bruschetta tasted amazing with her family oil and the dinner was so delicious, we are excited to re create at home. Cecilia made this time with her so enjoyable that my family wanted to go back to her warm home again for another meal. I would highly recommend a pasta class with Cecilia. Thank you Cecilia for the wonderful time- the girls have not stopped talking about it. Danielle, Charles, Gia & Gabby

We have pondered for hours and hours how perfectly to describe our magnificent cooking class with Chef Cecilia. I’m so afraid I can’t give it the justice it deserves. Cecilia was inviting and embraced us as if we had known each other a life time. Until you have had our experience you couldn’t possibly understand the intriguing relaxed, confident approach provided by Chef Cecilia. The same feeling of confidence we embraced as she made us feel so comfortable. I strongly suggest you look no further than her class. Cecilia was very approachable, demonstrating her technique and knowledge of cooking tips we will remember and use forever. A trip to the fresh outdoor market was such an exhilarating experience. I’ve never seen such beautiful produce, cheeses and meats. The menu was perfect. We have enjoyed in the past making pasta but often frustrated with a few ups and downs in making the pasta noddles. Cecilia addressed and shared the optimal solution to making the perfect pasta. The Tiramisu, my favorite dessert. I have never made one as I was literally afraid I couldn’t do it. Mike never cared for it but loves it now. My fear stepped aside and now I feel like a pro. We are expecting dinner guest soon and Cecilia has giving me a great menu to prepare with such authentic Italian flare.

At the top end of a road just outside the historic center of Florence, across from the park of the Stibbert Museum, our Cesarina opens the doors to her home from with a splendid view of the city.  “Cooking amuses me and always puts me in a good mood. I’m constantly on the lookout for the perfect recipe, and when I find it I guard it as though it was a treasure chest!”. Cecilia’s is a simple, but unquestionably tasty cuisine: “I like inviting friends home, without any formalities, offering them the best I can”.
