Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience

You can't visit Italy without trying at least one pasta dish... So, I'll teach you two! Warm up with the authentic Italian Aperitivo with prosecco and 'stuzzichini' and learn how to roll 'sfoglia' (fresh pasta) by hand and how to prepare 2 pasta shapes from scratch. As the icing on the cake you'll learn the secrets of the iconic Italian dessert: Tiramisù. After this hands-on cooking class, enjoy what you’ve prepared for lunch or dinner with local wines and share your passion for the Italian cuisine as you make new friends. There’s no way to truly experience Italian culture other than a cooking workshop in a real local home.

While we had high expectations and excitement for this event, the experience Cecilia provided far exceeded those expectations. First, she’s warm and inviting to her home, but her passion and enthusiasm in sharing her family recipes and techniques made us feel like life-long friends. Thank you Cecilia for embracing us and your patient guidance. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Amazing food! Cecelia was a most delightful hostess. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her in her lovely home.

We had a wonderful evening with Cecilia learning to make fresh egg pasta, spinach and ricotta ravioli, and tiramisu. Cecilia welcomed us into her lovely home, and both entertained and educated us on the art of Italian cooking. Everything was delicious, and we all left confident that we will be able to recreate these dishes at home. Thanks for a great night! We highly recommend this experience!

It can be nerve wracking going into someone else’s home to learn a new skill, but with Cecilia we immediately felt comfortable and were excited to get started! She was an excellent teacher, gave all of us opportunities to practice the techniques, and everything we made was incredibly delicious. Most of all, we enjoyed getting to know Cecilia and spend time sharing stories. She was warm, generous, passionate and funny! And to top it all off, she has the most beautiful home with stunning views of the city!

Cecilia was just delightful and so welcoming. Her knowledge was spot on and her hospitality was so warm. Thankyou Cecilia. I will be taking everything I have learnt back to my family, friends and my food studebts back home

At the top end of a road just outside the historic center of Florence, across from the park of the Stibbert Museum, our Cesarina opens the doors to her home from with a splendid view of the city.  “Cooking amuses me and always puts me in a good mood. I’m constantly on the lookout for the perfect recipe, and when I find it I guard it as though it was a treasure chest!”. Cecilia’s is a simple, but unquestionably tasty cuisine: “I like inviting friends home, without any formalities, offering them the best I can”.
