Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

  • Gnocchi
  • Tiramisu

I will welcome you to my flat in Bologna, in the foothills area, on the fifth floor with a splendid view of the city, where we will begin the experience with a small welcome aperitif, in an authentic and relaxed atmosphere.

Together we will hand-make soft gnocchi with ragù, rich and comforting, in keeping with Italian tradition. For those who wish, it is also possible to make a vegetarian version of the ragù, still inspired by typical Bolognese flavours but without the use of meat.

We will finish with a delicious tiramisu.

The whole experience will be accompanied by an excellent local Pignoletto, and we’ll finish with a good Italian coffee, just as tradition dictates.

A convivial, simple and elegant experience, to make you feel truly at home in Bologna.

What a delight Olga was, she welcomed me into her home and showed me her techniques for making a number of different pastas and sauces, we shared some drinks and great conversation then sat and enjoyed a meal together we had made from scratch. A truly lovely experience that has given me the knowledge to enjoy cooking fresh pasta with my family, her skills will be passed down through my family and enjoyed by many!

Olga was a fantastic host for our Pasta making class. She made us feel very welcome, and was very patient with us as we bumbled our way through her instructions. We laughed, shared stories and then enjoyed the fruits of our labour! Such a great experience. Thank you x

Olga was very friendly and thorough. We learned a lot in class. She taught us how to make Tagliatelle and Tiramisu from scratch. Wonderful host.

My cooking always starts with handmade pasta — that slow, precise gesture of rolling out the dough, choosing the right shape, feeling the mixture come to life between your fingers. Traditional Italian first courses are my greatest love: I prepare them with care, pairing them with rich, fragrant sauces built on simple ingredients and plenty of time. And it never ends without something sweet: from the great classics to my lighter variations, because a meal without a little sweetness at the end isn't really complete.
