Your experience

Immersed in nature, in an ancient monastery, we will prepare together all the steps needed to make a good lasagna with a good ragout preparation and béchamel sauce. Next we will make one of the best-known and oldest recipes in Italian cuisine: tiramisu, a spoon dessert consisting of layers of ladyfinger cookies soaked in coffee and filled with a mascarpone-based cream.

My time with Antonella was one of, if not the, best experiences of my time back in Florence. We formed a connection so quickly that made the entire time together filled with joy. She was an amazing teacher; patient, encouraging, and enthusiastic. Since it was just the two of us we also helped each other get even better at speaking the other's language: her speaking English and me speaking Italian! We both learned from each other and felt comfortable asking questions. Sitting outside on her patio enclosed with vines and flowers with the Tuscan hills in the background was a dream. Pair that with the delicious bruschetta, ravioli, tagliatelle, tiramisu, and wine- I don't think any restaurant could beat it! I will absolutely book another class with her if I ever make it back to Florence. I can't recommend her enough!! Grazie mille, Antonella :)

My daughter and I loved making homemade pasta with Antonella. We made tagliatelle with ragu using her fresh herbs from her garden. Since I had made pasta previously, Antonella decided that we would also make ravioli with burrata, lemon zest, parmigiano and thyme. We then proceeded to make tiramisu. She totally changed my opinion about tiramisu - it was delicious!! We enjoyed the meal with fresh oil olive and wine. Antonella and her husband, Cosimo, were delightful. If going to Florence, you should definitely make the visit to their beautiful home and experience cooking with her.

What an amazing time we had with Antonella & her husband. They are such welcoming delightful people. We cooked and ate together and the time we spent together was so memorable. The Lasagna & Tiramisu were the BEST. We will be back to cook with them again. Fabulous food and such kind people to cook with. What more could we ask for. Thank you Antonella for all the memories. Best part of our trip. Dave & Debbie

My fiancee and I had an amazing time learning to cook yummy Italian dishes with Antonella in her lovely home! She guided us through each step to make pasta with white meat sauce, bruschetta, and tiramisu – all using fresh ingredients. After cooking we enjoyed the meal outside with some wine and gorgeous views! Antonella is an amazing teacher and we had a great time talking with her. She made us feel right at home, and we'll miss her! This experience was a highlight of our trip and we'd definitely do it again.

Incredible, to say the very least my friends. Antonella led us on a magical tour of making our own homemade pasta (2 types) and marvelous Tiramiso. In a beautiful country kitchen she gently instructed us as we made the dough and prepared the desert filling. It was all hands on for Connie and I. Don't fret, she is so kind and generous. There are no mistakes in her kitchen it's all in fun and feast. She also made bruschetta and focaccia all with fresh ingredients many pulled directly from her garden, 'a la fois'. As all the ingredients began to emerge together we moved to a charming outside table covered with views of the raw country side. Some wine and we began our gourmet feast. We were very fortunate to enjoy the meal with both Antonella and her husband both wonderful hosts. We shared stories and laughed heartly. But in the end we teared up as we didn't want the evening to end. Remarkable, a must do experience. Many thanks Chef Antonella!

Cesarina from 2018Location: Florence    Languages: Italian and English
Antonella is a Florentine born and bred who (professionally and for fun) loves cooking, using only seasonal ingredients which she usually buys from local farmers. Antonella loves traditional, ethnic and fusion cuisines; she likes sharing experiences and getting to know new people whom she hosts in a stunning location, on the Florentine hills. Here, only a couple miles from the historic center of Florence, in the tranquility of the Tuscan hills, this Cesarina welcomes us. Her house is an ex-monastery from 1200 a.c. which throughout the years was turned into a barn, then a painter’s studio, and now an artist’s home, where we can savor the flavors of Tuscan cuisine.
