Hi from Antonella!

Antonella is a Florentine born and bred who (professionally and for fun) loves cooking, using only seasonal ingredients which she usually buys from local farmers. Antonella loves traditional, ethnic and fusion cuisines; she likes sharing experiences and getting to know new people whom she hosts in a stunning location, on the Florentine hills. Here, only a couple miles from the historic center of Florence, in the tranquility of the Tuscan hills, this Cesarina welcomes us. Her house is an ex-monastery from 1200 a.c. which throughout the years was turned into a barn, then a painter’s studio, and now an artist’s home, where we can savor the flavors of Tuscan cuisine.

We were very pleased with our pasta cooking class with Antonella. She knows what she was doing, and she knows how to teach. Great attention to details, very candid and pleasant conversations.

Antonella was an excellent host and teacher. Our group consisted of adults and teens and everyone enjoyed the class. Being in her home was such a special experience, full of history and art.

A true Florentine experience with breathtaking views: We had an unforgettable lunch with Cesarina Antonella just a stone’s throw from Florence, yet surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the Tuscan hills. The location is stunning – we dined outdoors at a table under a pergola of grapevines, with a panoramic view of the countryside. Every detail was beautifully curated. The meal was incredible: paccheri with garden-fresh tomato sauce, a sensational eggplant parmigiana, the traditional Tuscan peposo with potatoes from Antonella’s garden and olive oil from her own mill, followed by a delicious dessert of peaches with amaretto and homemade custard gelato. This experience is perfect for anyone looking to connect with a local and enjoy authentic Tuscan flavors in a magical setting – truly living like a Florentine for a day. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our experience with Antonella! She is so sweet, great at explaining the importance of each step of making the pasta and a great cook! She has a beautiful patio that overlooks the hills of Florence where you will eat the meal and sip on delicious wine. She then offered to drive us to the nearby bus station so we could take it from there back to the center of Florence. 10/10 would recommend!!
