Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Walnut bread
  • Brioche plait
  • Ricotta and spinach ravioli (or tagliatelle with cherry tomatoes)
  • Tiramisu

Welcome to my kitchen with a view! I’ll welcome you with an aperitif overlooking the Gulf: chilled wine and my sourdough walnut bread. Before we begin this intensive and fun lesson, where we’ll literally get our hands in the dough, I’ll reveal the secrets of this family ‘treasure’. Together we’ll create my signature dish, the soft Treccione brioche loaf, learning the art of braiding. We’ll then prepare fresh pasta: ricotta and spinach ravioli or tagliatelle with authentic cherry tomatoes. We’ll finish by making classic tiramisu. Finally, we’ll enjoy our creations on the terrace amidst the scent of basil and the sea breeze, with Neapolitan coffee and views of Capri and Vesuvius. An experience for true artisans of taste, where flour meets the blue of the Neapolitan sea!

There are very few holiday experiences that have impressed me as much as cooking and sharing dinner with Maria Vittoria and her wonderful family. From the very beginning, the welcome was incredibly warm. All the necessary information was gathered and explained in advance, and throughout the entire cooking class I felt genuinely welcome and included. The menu was thoughtfully designed and absolutely delicious. We also learned many secrets and tricks of authentic Italian cooking, which made the experience even more special. As an international guest, I especially appreciated that Maria Vittoria and her family speak perfect English. It ensured that every story, explanation, and cooking tip could be fully appreciated. Another thing that deserves to be mentioned is the location: this family must live in the most beautiful spot in all of Naples. The view is simply breathtaking. I will 100% come back the next time I visit Italy. Thank you for everything! Un abbraccio e a presto!

Amazing experience! Maria and her entire family were very welcoming and informative. We truly could not have asked for a better cooking class. They were knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about Italian cuisine, sharing not only cooking techniques but also stories and traditions from their own cooking experience. We loved getting hands-on experience making authentic Italian recipes from scratch, using fresh local ingredients and learning tips we can actually use at home. Thank you for such a wonderful opportunity—we’ll be talking about it for years to come!

The kitchen is the heart of my home, always filled with aromas, laughter, and people gathered around the table. I love traveling and discovering the world, but it is in my Neapolitan kitchen that I truly feel at harmony. I enjoy cooking traditional dishes such as lasagna, pasta with potatoes and provola, or pastiera, but I also bring to the table flavors discovered during my travels. I love vegetables and natural products: I grow a small vegetable garden and make bread using my sourdough starter. I have fun preparing appetizers, first courses, and anything that involves leavening—my signature dish is a braided brioche filled with local cured meats and dairy products. For me, cooking means sharing: every dish tells a story, a place, and above all, the love for the people around me.
