Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Home-cooked flavours: Tortelloni with butter and sage.
  • Aperitif: polenta bruschetta topped with smoked scamorza cheese, caramelised onion and crispy prosciutto
  • Aperitif: puff pastry tortellone filled with parmigiana or mortadella mousse
  • Dessert: chocolate salami and mascarpone cream

I’ve always cooked for the people I love, and today I want to share this joy with you.

I’ll be waiting for you in my new, cosy flat just outside the city walls of Bologna, which is easy to reach on foot or by car. Here, I’ll welcome you to experience and share moments of carefree fun and cheer, all accompanied by a welcome aperitif and some fine local wine, made using locally sourced ingredients. Together, step by step, we’ll prepare the fresh pasta and the filling for our tortelloni, which we’ll serve with butter and sage – as simple as they are incredible – before enjoying them at the table. To round off on a sweet note, I’ll serve you a slice of chocolate salami, accompanied by mascarpone cream – a classic dessert that will leave you speechless. See you soon, Luca.

Luca and his girlfriend were incredibly welcoming and made a lot of effort to make this a truly incredible experience. From homemade liquor to restaurant recommendations this was more than just any pasta making class. He made the pasta making fun but also showed us how easy it is to make simply delicious food and I cannot wait to give this a go at home. I cannot recommend him enough and will definitely be seeing what other classes he is teaching next time we visit.

We had the most wonderful time learning how to prepare and cook pasta and tiramisu with Luca. His home is beautiful and we were made to feel very welcome with some local specialities and wine on arrival. The cooking experience was fun and informative and Luca made it very easy to understand with great instruction and patience. We also had really good fun getting to know more about Bologna and the local customs and food culture. He even gave us some recommendations for good local spots to visit the next day. Thank you so much, we can't wait to come back.

Our first time in Bologna and we wanted to do a truly authentic cooking course. Well, our day with Luca was absolutely fantastic. Welcomed into a beautiful home, we were greeted with a glass of Lambrusco and some homemade sweets. He then taught us the art of making pasta. Not only a great cook, but also a wonderful person. We learned how to make tagliatelle and tortellini, which he then cooked to perfection. We also learned how to make the perfect tiramisu. We finished with a limoncello and an espresso. It was my favorite experience in Bologna. Thank you so much!!

I was introduced to the world of fresh pasta and cooking as a child thanks to my mother and grandmothers, who passed on to me a passion for cooking and good food. As a teenager, I dreamed of opening my own restaurant and, starting with no experience, I worked in different places as a pasta maker and chef to learn the craft. Today, my idea has evolved: I enjoy organizing events at my home or at other people’s homes, bringing my cuisine, mainly based on Emilia-style fresh pasta, preceded by aperitifs and followed by spoon desserts or cakes.
