Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Ricotta and spinach ravioli
  • Pappardelle with vegetarian ragù
  • Stricchetti with fresh tomato sauce
  • Vegan tiramisu

I will welcome you to my home on Via degli Orti, in the heart of Bologna, with a glass of wine. Together we will prepare everything from scratch, just as in the tradition of true Bolognese sfogline.

We will make three types of fresh pasta: ricotta and spinach ravioli, pappardelle topped with a rich vegetarian ragù, and stricchetti with fresh tomato sauce. We’ll finish with a delicious homemade vegan tiramisu.

During the cooking class, I’ll guide you step by step, sharing techniques, traditions and secrets of Italian fresh pasta. After cooking, we’ll enjoy everything we’ve prepared together, accompanied by a good bottle of local wine and a coffee.

Couldn’t recommend Olga enough! We chose to do the Gnocchi and Tiramisu class and were not disappointed. Olga’s instructions were clear and easy to follow, the food was delicious and the overall experience was a highlight of our trip! This class is a must if you’re visiting Bologna and want to learn to make traditional Bolognese cuisine. Thanks again Olga!

The class was amazing, really nothing I'd change for both the skills I've learned and the experience in general. Olga was a perfect host and made the whole thing really enjoyable

Olga was delightful and is an amazing cook and baker. She spent extra time with me and we enjoyed chatting about our pets. She showed me a lot of techniques for managing the pasta dough. The stuffed pappardelle with tomato sauce was the best I've ever eaten and the Bolognese ravioli was delicious. If I am back in Bologna, I will certainly take another class with Olga.

What a delight Olga was, she welcomed me into her home and showed me her techniques for making a number of different pastas and sauces, we shared some drinks and great conversation then sat and enjoyed a meal together we had made from scratch. A truly lovely experience that has given me the knowledge to enjoy cooking fresh pasta with my family, her skills will be passed down through my family and enjoyed by many!

My cooking always starts with handmade pasta — that slow, precise gesture of rolling out the dough, choosing the right shape, feeling the mixture come to life between your fingers. Traditional Italian first courses are my greatest love: I prepare them with care, pairing them with rich, fragrant sauces built on simple ingredients and plenty of time. And it never ends without something sweet: from the great classics to my lighter variations, because a meal without a little sweetness at the end isn't really complete.
