Giovanni and his wife Roberta will welcome you tasting a glass of good wine and the local wonders, with a little talk among the cured meats and cheeses.
Talking about the journey of these dishes from side to side of Sicily, you will knead together with Giovanni the Maccheroni, handmade with the "umbrella stick" just as Aunt Amalia used to make them 80 years ago, and bring to life the Ravioli with a heart of fresh ricotta and spinach, or with fresh ricotta e sicilian orange. After some memories and laugh, you will be delighted by the typical Tiramisù, a classic recipe that you will carry with you in your hearts and homes.

- Perfect!
- This is one of the best memories of my experience in Italy. The chef is very kind and goes to great lengths to ensure it's a good experience. The family is very warm and welcoming, and I feel like I experienced something more than just a cooking experience. Of course, the homemade pasta, caponata, and other side dishes are also superb.
- We had the most wonderful evening! Not only did we make and eat delicious food , but also we made wonderful new friends! I will ALWAYS remember the ricotta and orange filled ravioli! I can’t wait to go home and try it on my own! If only I can find oranges that taste like Sicilian oranges!! Making macaroni using an umbrella spike was just fabulous!! Giovanni’s wife Roberta is just the nicest person too! And the best was Their five year old daughter who had to draw our pictures as soon as we walked in! This was a total immersion experience! We got to experience Sicilian life and cook and eat!! Can’t rate it high enough! We were in Palermo for one month. The evening was a highlight!!!

Giovanni grew up amidst the kitchen aromas of the family restaurant on the bay of Taormina. He inherited his father's recipes and brought them within the walls of his home in Palermo, creating new flavors with a sprinkle of memories. Fresh pasta takes the spotlight in his first courses: maccheroni alla norma, gnocchi with pistachio and shrimp, and ricotta and orange ravioli. Continuing with eggplant or swordfish parmigiana that pairs with lemon-infused meatballs or traditional Messina-style braciolettine. The meal concludes with the bittersweet taste of orange sorbet or the special almond blancmange.
