Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Piadina (traditional flat bread)
  • Fried pizza
  • Tigelle

I will teach you how to make three types of bread from the Tuscan-Romagnola peasant tradition. They are simple doughs but rich in flavor and different textures. Piadina is known all over the world, but remember that the real thing is made with flour and lard. There is also a fried version and tigelle cooked in a cast-iron mold. During the course, you will be provided with handouts with the recipes and you can taste what you have prepared accompanied by soft cheeses and traditional Italian cold cuts.

We had a wonderful afternoon at Luisa's cooking class. So do not hesitate to book. Luisa is a warm and welcoming host who taught us a lot about making pasta. It felt special to be in her home and meet her lovely dog Summer. In total, we made three different types of pasta. We will certainly try to recreate this at home. Luisa's instructions were clear, and she also provided us with information to review later. Thank you, Luisa, for a fun afternoon that ended with a delicious pasta meal.

Family from The Netherlands -

What a fabulous morning in this lovely lady’s beautiful home learning how to make pasta. My needs were thoughtfully accommodated (wheelchair user). My grown up son and I had an experience to treasure. Highly recommended

We love the place, the house, the information, Luiza! There was so much time for making the pasta, eating and having nice conversations,,,, feels like we’re quests! Our advice: just do it!

Emile & Carmen -

Luisa, a very kind and helpful hostess, welcomed us into her home and shared some of her knowledge with us. At the end, we cooked together with her and concluded the wonderful morning with a good lunch, good wine, and lots of conversation. An experience to absolutely be had.

Mani in pasta -

This pasta class was so much more than just a pasta class. Luisa was warm, funny, patient, and taught us about the history of the pasta along with how to make it. We felt so comfortable in her home. It was a peaceful place- perfect for learning a new skill. We highly recommend this experience!

"I was born in Romagna, but now after more than 35 years in Pistoia my home is Tuscany. In the green, but a few kilometers from the station and the Piazza del Duomo. I have a creative and curious soul and in the kitchen, through the dishes of the Romagna and Tuscan tradition, I express at best my spirit of welcome. I love to make homemade pasta, bake bread, cook the classic desserts of the tradition."
