I will welcome you in my kitchen, in the house inside one of the oldest nurseries in Pistoia, with a homemade welcome drink. I will teach you my family recipes. You will learn how to make cappelletti, a homemade egg pasta filled with ricotta and parmesan that you will taste dressed with butter and sage. Then you will learn how to make strozzapreti, a short homemade pasta made with water and flour that we will dress with vegetables from the garden. We will conclude by making tiramisù, one of the most famous Italian desserts. If the weather is fine, you can spend part of the event in my garden.

From the moment we entered Luisa’s beautiful kitchen we felt like old friends. She started with sharing stories of her family and then her love of cooking. It was so easy to just start cooking. The pastas were perfect. She unlocked for us the mystery of making delicious and traditionally shaped pasta. Then we sat down and enjoyed a amazing meal and many more stories. Luisa gave us precious memories of our time in Pistoia and the gift of pasta making that’swe will be sharing with our grandchildren when we return home. We look forward to coming back to Pistoia and having another evening with our new friend.

Wat het zo bijzonder maakt om bij Luisa de workshop te volgen, is dat je volledig meegenomen wordt in de familietraditie en ook nog de geschiedenis hoort van het familiebedrijf, de kwekerij.
