Cooking class: you will learn to prepare a traditional dish with a tasting of the recipe prepared during the course, accompanied by a glass of wine
Shared Experience
Your experience
I will welcome you into my home, inside one of the oldest nurseries in Pistoia. In my kitchen I will teach you how to make egg pasta according to my family's tradition. You will be able to try kneading and rolling out the sheets with a rolling pin or with the small manual Imperia machine.
You will be able to choose from classic formats such as tagliatelle or farfalline or make garganelli (a type of macaroni from the Romagna tradition) or inganna-prit (a kind of mock cappelletti). You will be able to choose at the time whether to enjoy the pasta immediately topped with a Tuscan mascarpone and sausage sauce or take it home with you. The lesson and eventual consumption will be enhanced by a good local Tuscan red wine, printed recipes and numerous tips and anecdotes.

- What an unforgettable experience! Our food-making lunch with Luisa in Pistoia was truly the highlight of our trip to Italy. From the moment we stepped into Luisa's warm and inviting home, we felt like part of the family. Luisa's passion for Italian cuisine shone through as she guided us through the art of pasta making, sharing fascinating insights into the history and culture of each dish. It was educational and so much fun. Even our 8-year-old daughter had a blast, getting hands-on with the dough and proudly creating her own pasta. Luisa's patience and enthusiasm made everyone feel comfortable and engaged. The food we prepared together was absolutely delicious, and we left with full hearts and full bellies. If you're looking for an authentic, enriching culinary experience in Pistoia, this is it! Highly recommended.
- My 12-year old daughter and I had an amazing time with Louisa! It was fun to learn old family recipes in someone's home and why Pistoia is home to amazing plant nurseries and the heart of Tuscan landscape design. She was full of knowledge about Pistoia - check out her book "Pistoia and its Soul: Do you know this Tuscan city?" As my daughter said, "This was the BEST pasta we have had here in Italy!"
- Grazie Mille Luisa! We’ve had a great and very authentic experience making pasta with you. Thank you for the warm welcome, the beautiful stories you told us and the delicious pasta (we made ourselves)!
- What a lovely evening - a very personal cooking experience with Luisa in her home. Some great cooking tips and conversation as well!
- If we could give her 10 stars we would! She was gracious fun and amazing to work with. We never felt rushed with our class and made tiramisu and 2 types of pasta. We sat to lunch and had an excellent conversation Would recommend making time for this class!

In the green, but a few kilometers from the station and the Piazza del Duomo. I have a creative and curious soul and in the kitchen, through the dishes of the Romagna and Tuscan tradition, I express at best my spirit of welcome. I love to make homemade pasta, bake bread, cook the classic desserts of the tradition."
