Your experience

Mugello cuisine combines Tuscan and Emilian traditions, with fresh pasta at the center. Childhood memories take me back to Sunday mornings with Mom and Grandma in the kitchen among tortelli and tagliatelle that perfumed the air. Each family here jealously guards its own recipe for tortelli, passed down from generation to generation. During the experience, I will share our recipe, from the Tuscan appetizer enriched with Sicilian influences, to the preparation and tasting of our homemade tagliatelle. We will end with a dessert, in an atmosphere of stories and tradition in our country home in Mugello.

Silivia and Vito and the whole family are fantastic! The are the consummate hosts and it was just such a relaxing , friendly atmosphere- Speaking English was not a problem and it was nice to pick up some Italian phrases from the whole family. We would Definitely visit again when we are in Italy- they both seem like lifelong acquaintances :) Really, really recommend if you want a TRUE Italian Experience - Stacey and William OBrien-From Alaska

My husband, Vito, and I have always had a passion for cooking and hospitality. Vito, with his Sicilian origins, loves to prepare dishes that reflect his heritage. He adores tomatoes, fennel, spiciness, and beef. As for me, Silvia, I enjoy baking traditional desserts such as crostate and schiacciata alla fiorentina. I also love cooking vegetables and creating imaginative bruschettas. Making fresh pasta, as taught by my mother and grandmother, is a passion of mine. I have a fondness for lace doilies and things that evoke a sense of nostalgia. Adding to this mix is a touch of international flair, acquired through language studies and numerous travels. I am fluent in English, German, and French
