We will all make one of the typical Sicilian dishes together: Maccarruna with Pesto alla Trapanese!

We will start our feast by uncorking a cool Sicilian sparkling wine to toast to our new encounters, munching on dried fruits and oregano-scented crostini. Then we will all be with our hands in the dough! We will show you how to make Maccarruna, kneaded only with water and durum wheat flour. Then we will devote ourselves to the fragrant sauce made with tomatoes, garlic, basil, extra virgin olive oil and almonds from our countryside, complemented by savory Sicilian pecorino cheese. In the meantime we will drink good wine and taste some typical appetizers strictly made with seasonal and local products. We will conclude by cooking and tasting our Maccarruna. We are waiting for you!

The passion for cooking has been passed down to me by the women in my family. We cook with love. My curiosity has driven me to learn about the history of traditional Sicilian dishes and beyond, because wherever I am in the world, I seek to discover local recipes and their stories. I consider myself fortunate to be from Palermo because in Sicily, there is a good production of quality food and wine products, and our cuisine is never boring. I enjoy cooking and storytelling.
