Gnocchi is a traditional Italian dish, originally from the north but also loved in the south. There are many variations, such as gnocchi alla sorrentina, with butter and sage, or simple gnocchi with a locally sourced tomato sauce. Easy to prepare but incredibly tasty, gnocchi can be customized with different sauces. At the end of our cooking class, you will taste the dish you have prepared, concluding the experience with a traditional dessert made by you. - We had a wonderful time cooking with Lucia. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Lecce!
- Lucia was wonderful and I truly enjoyed her cooking class making pasta and learning all about the different foods in Puglia. She took me to the farmers market to buy some vegetables, to the bakery to get some focaccia and other treats. It was a lovely private class in her home and her boyfriend Paola joined in to cook too. The pasta dish with fresh tomatoes and cheese were delicious along with the Caffe Leccese, Rustico, Taralli, Focaccia and much more. Paolo even entertained me with his Tamborine while Lucia sang a local folk song. What a wonderful experience to witness all this local authentic Puglia memories. Thank you Lucia and Paolo for a wonderful cooking class of making pasta and dining lunch with you. I miss you both; you were so welcoming, entertaining and great "chefs." Thank you so much for also introducing me to your beautiful Mother and Grandparents. I will forever cherish this experience with you both.

- I had a fantastic cooking class with Lucia and Paulo on May 18, 2026. Lucia took me to the market to buy some vegetables and then to the bakery to buy some more stuff to prepare for our lunch. I even go to meet her grandparents and her Mom. What a treat!!! I learned to make pasta, grilled eggplant stuffed with tuna, and she serve many other local dishes. For dessert she introduced me to a refreshing iced coffee with almond milk (sweet) which is now my favorite beverage. It’s called Leccese Sofiatto. The pasta dish was in fresh tomato sauce which was delicious yet simple to make from scratch. The whole experience was amazing and wonderful because it was nice and casual just like visiting locals in their home. I highly recommend Lucia’s Cooking Class!!!
