Welcome to my home in the heart of Turin, where you will be welcomed for a unique dining experience inspired by the Piedmontese tradition of the merenda sinoira. This cold meal, usually eaten around 5 p.m. and extended until dinnertime, is considered the mother of all apericena in the world!
I will guide you through a selection of traditional dishes prepared with high-quality local ingredients, such as cured meats and cheeses typical of the region, accompanied by freshly baked bread and breadsticks. I will also show you how to prepare some of the dishes, so that you can take home with you the techniques and recipes to replicate this unique experience. I look forward to a special evening of tasting and great company in the heart of Turin.

- Five stars doesn’t do Benedetta justice. Incredibly attentive and welcome from before we started the evening. The warmth and family feel here was immediate. The journey of making our pasta and Tiramisu was thorough and well explained. The food that was served was out of this world in terms of flavour and how it was presented. Sharing the evening and meal with three generations of the family was an experience like no other and will always be a memory that I hold close to my heart as it’s truly what family is about. Benedetta you are a shining beacon of family life and of Italy. Thank so much, I won’t ever forget this experience.

- Benedetta was the most gracious host. From the tour of the Merchantile to the Farmers Market for fresh fruits and vegetables, it was the most enjoyable experience. We made fresh pasta and bruschetta, tiramisu and appetizers for our lunch. Having her mother, Louise join us for lunch made the experience even more authentic. From the conversation and recipe sharing to favorite dishes—all the tips and tricks of preparing the perfect meal were shared with smiles and appreciation. Thank you—this was a wonderful memory!

Our Cesarina nurtures a passion for the culinary art, having enjoyed good food from an early age with her traditional recipes of Piedmont, prepared with fresh produce from the local markets. Simplicity, a light touch and excellent ingredients are fundamental elements in her kitchen. She also loves combining tradition with a touch of originality and innovation, thanks also to her passion (and profession) for art and design.
