- Wow! What an amazing cooking experience with Maurizio. We were invited to his beautiful apartment in Bologna to learn to make and cook pasta. His home and ambience was the perfect setting. The food we made was delicious! Starter simple tomato & garlic bruschetta. The main course we learnt to make ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta and tagliatelle ragu bolognaise. Followed by a very tasty tiramisu! Maurizio made it fun and exciting experience with beautiful back ground music and some good Prosecco for my partners special birthday. We both would highly recommend learning to cook Italian food with Maurizio and hope to return again next year. Thanks again Tracey & Andrew.
- Maurizio was very warm, welcoming and generous to us in his home. We cooked a delicious amatriciana with our three year old, and although she was shy - he kept her included. He was a wealth of knowledge on cooking and bologna. He gave us lots of recommendations and tips, which led to us eating one of our top meals in Italy. Unfortunately the rain prevented us from eating together on the garden terrace, which would have been *chef's kiss* but we'll have to do that next time. The location was an easy walk from the CBD centre.
- I had so much fun and felt so welcomed by Maurizio! I learnt so much and everything tasted wonderful, what a lovely way to spend time in Bologna!
- It was an unforgetable day. Maurizio was a wonderful cesarino and I felt so welcome.
- We were on a tight schedule in Bologna, and were happy to find this cooking class geared towards making a visit to a local market and learning to prepare a homemade 3-course lunch. Although there was a bit of confusion initially on the meeting location (the Viator app indicated the meeting point to be near the Neptune Fountain in the city center, while one of the e-mails listed the address of the instructor's home), we were able to connect with the instructor to begin the tour. We were introduced to the Mercato Delle Erbe, where we picked up ingredients for our lunch. Some of the shops were closed due to merchants being on holiday during the month of August. However, we found some tomatoes, peaches, local squacquerone cheese, mortadella, guanciale, and fresh piadina wraps. We also stopped by a local bakery (Valentini), where we were introduced to some ravioli shaped shortbread-like cookies. Our instructor Maurizio was such a friendly host, and welcomed us into his beautiful home. We first enjoyed a quick piadina snack (local sandwich). We then enjoyed making our bruschetta appetizer. Maurizio taught us how to make homemade tagliatelle in a tomato based sauce. We finished the meal with a delicious peach cake. It's an experience we will always treasure from our travels there. Thank you for the wonderful lesson!
