Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Home-cooked flavours: Tortelloni with butter and sage.
  • Aperitif: polenta bruschetta topped with smoked scamorza cheese, caramelised onion and crispy prosciutto
  • Aperitif: puff pastry tortellone filled with parmigiana or mortadella mousse
  • Dessert: chocolate salami and mascarpone cream

I’ve always cooked for the people I love, and today I want to share this joy with you.

I’ll be waiting for you in my new, cosy flat just outside the city walls of Bologna, which is easy to reach on foot or by car. Here, I’ll welcome you to experience and share moments of carefree fun and cheer, all accompanied by a welcome aperitif and some fine local wine, made using locally sourced ingredients. Together, step by step, we’ll prepare the fresh pasta and the filling for our tortelloni, which we’ll serve with butter and sage – as simple as they are incredible – before enjoying them at the table. To round off on a sweet note, I’ll serve you a slice of chocolate salami, accompanied by mascarpone cream – a classic dessert that will leave you speechless. See you soon, Luca.

Luca was the absolute best host, and we had an amazing experience. He welcomes you into his lovely home like an old friend. As someone with zero cooking skills, I found this class absolutely divine! Luca made me feel like I was doing a wonderful job, patiently explaining every single step. The best part was enjoying the spectacular meal we made, followed by great conversation about Italy. We are already planning a return trip to Bologna for another session with him. Exceptional—you will not regret it!

I was introduced to the world of fresh pasta and cooking as a child thanks to my mother and grandmothers, who passed on to me a passion for cooking and good food. As a teenager, I dreamed of opening my own restaurant and, starting with no experience, I worked in different places as a pasta maker and chef to learn the craft. Today, my idea has evolved: I enjoy organizing events at my home or at other people’s homes, bringing my cuisine, mainly based on Emilia-style fresh pasta, preceded by aperitifs and followed by spoon desserts or cakes.
