    Between Bologna and Foggia, discover the art of fresh homemade pasta-a must for "pasta lovers." Tortelloni, ravioli, tagliatelle, strichetti, spaghetti alla chitarra and much more. Barbara and Paola, Bolognese by adoption, will teach you how to prepare fresh pasta, both simple and filled, typical of the tradition of Emilia-Romagna, the region where sfogline, masters in the art of pasta making, have been handing down their recipes for generations. There will also be a touch of Puglia, Barbara's home region, where her grandmother taught her how to use the typical tool to shape spaghetti alla chitarra. And to end on a sweet note, a delicious mascarpone cream, soft and creamy.

    We had a wonderful time with Barbara and Paola. They were lovely, gracious hosts and good instructors. We achieved our objective of learning how to make tortelloni and learned some new tricks to making pasta. We also had a great language exchange in both Italian and English. All around a great experience to have while traveling in Bologna. We highly recommend Barbara and Paola!

    Barbara and Paola welcome us to their home in Bologna.  Barbara, after many years of work in the bank, decided to make the bed and breakfast in her home, an apartment in the fair area of Bologna, realizing a dream. " I love to cook, using seasonal products purchased directly from those who produce them. It's nice to welcome people at home, around the table,  people meet, talk and feed in all senses!". Paola was born in Ferrara, but is Bolognese by adoption. " Of the origins I keep the memories of a child of the summers spent in the garden playing and working the land with her grandfather and the recipes of poor dishes handed down by the women of the family. On Sundays, the dough rolled strictly with a rolling pin...I was enchanted to observe the skill of my mother and grandmother. From them I learned to make cappelletti first and tortellini then, after our "emigration" to Bologna."
