Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Handmade fresh pasta
  • Artisanal gelato

Discover the joy of making fresh Italian pasta and homemade gelato — including a 100% plant-based version!

During this hands-on course, we will cook together two types of fresh pasta using traditional techniques that you can easily recreate at home. From dough preparation to shaping, I will guide you step by step — and yes, everything can also be made completely vegan!

After the pasta, we’ll move on to something sweet: artisanal gelato, made from scratch with seasonal ingredients. Whether you prefer classic flavors or a dairy-free option, you’ll learn how to create a creamy and delightful gelato.

The experience starts with a small welcome tasting, and at the end of the course, each participant will receive a recipe booklet!

Sara is amazing! Me and my mom had a vegan cooking class with her and had so much fun! Everything was delicious and super clean! Highly recommend.

My boyfriend got the "Pizza & Tiramisu" class as a gift from his brother whilst we were in Lake Garda, and I came along. It was so much fun and so informative! Sara is very lovely and knowledgeable about the pizza dough and I managed to write lots of notes that I hope to use for when I make pizzas back home in England. Everything was prepared, everything ran smoothly (we finished in around 2-2.5 hours), she was very welcoming and accommodating (considering the class is in her home!). My boyfriend doesn't like coffee but he still enjoyed making the tiramisu which was really easy and simple (and ended up being very tasty, of course). She even provided us with recipes to take home with some variations (e.g. summer versions of tiramisu) and more details. Also, the pizza is made in a standard fan/gas oven, so you don't need a fancy pizza oven, which makes it far more accessible for those who don't have pizza ovens like myself. The different pizza doughs/toppings (2 variations with the same dough and 3 toppings) were really tasty as well. AND she gave us bruschetta with figs freshly grown in her garden (much nicer than the figs we have in England, of course) - a very lovely host! She even took pictures of us and let me record some videos of the process/food for my own memories/learning which I appreciated. Really great experience and highly recommend, very grateful for the gift. If I'm ever back, I'd definitely come back and do the Pasta class! :-)

Sara was such a wonderful host. We had such a fun time learning to make homemade ravioli and tiarimisu. She was a wonderful teacher and so generous and welcoming ☺️

We had a great time cooking with Sarah. She is very hospitable and easy going. While cooking, she really knows what she's doing and she is patient in learning us how to do it as well. The recipes she uses are great and they taste even greater. It was a nice and very unexpected experience that learned us a lot about Italians and the Italian way of cooking.

My cuisine is entirely vegan and is born from the principle that everything we have loved and that reminds us of home can be vegan. For me, cooking has no limits: I love reinterpreting the great classics of Italian tradition, especially Roman cuisine, in a plant-based way. Among my creations, for example, there is a vegan “gricia,” which is a tribute to my homeland. However, I don’t stop at Italian tradition—I love experimenting with cuisines from other cultures, such as Asian cuisine, even creating sushi with plant-based ingredients that mimic fish. I am passionate about making fresh pasta, both filled and unfilled, and I find great satisfaction in recreating pastries in a vegan version, from classic desserts like tiramisu to more unique creations. My cuisine is a journey of creativity, memories, and flavors, all while respecting vegan principles.
