Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Green lasagne with meat sauce
  • Bolognese appetiser with mortadella, Parmesan cheese and Modena balsamic vinegar tasting

Welcome to a real kitchen, the one at home. In this intimate experience — maximum 6 guests — I will introduce you to the Bolognese tradition with a family recipe: Grandma Luisa's nettle lasagne with béchamel sauce and ragù. Together we will roll out the green nettle pasta, prepare the béchamel sauce and assemble the lasagne layer by layer. When we put it in the oven, we sit down at the table: a platter of Parmigiano Reggiano, mortadella and Aceto Balsamico di Modena arrives, accompanied by a glass of local wine — the perfect time to deepen the knowledge gained in the kitchen, or simply to rest after the hard work of rolling out the dough. Then we taste what you have made with your own hands.

From today, you know how to make lasagne. Nonna Luisa's lasagne.

A lovely experience with a delightful teacher! Veronica made us at home from the start. She hosted us like family and made it the perfect learning experience. The final product was delicious and the conversation was plentiful. We loved the care and thoughtfulness put into each step and would highly recommend.

It was a wonderful experience with Veronica, we felt super welcome and she gave us so many helpful tips! We made tagliatelle and tortelloni, and tiramisu for dessert. A real fun time! Thank you so much 🙏

We (family of 5) spent an absolutely lovely late morning/early afternoon with Veronica learning how to make Tortolani and Tagliatelle. She was a great teacher and in addition to learning to make pasta she shared a lot about Bologna and its cuisine and culture. The meal was delicious and lively - the wine was (even for a Californian wine snob) delicious and a perfect pairing. If you are in Bologna I strongly recommend!!!

Amazing memories with family over Thanksgiving! Veronica is a warm, patient instructor, knowledgeable and friendly. One of the best cooking classes we have taken. Pasta was delicious! Thank you Veronica!

Welcome to my kitchen in the heart of Bologna! My name is Veronica, and my cooking is an act of love learned in my family, between the rhythms of the vegetable garden and respect for the ingredients. At the heart of my work is the pasta dough, rolled strictly by hand: a ritual of rolling pin and memory that combines Bolognese tradition with a touch of personal creativity. I select every ingredient from small local producers, following the short supply chain and the seasons. I look forward to sharing the warmth of Bolognese hospitality with you, between history, creativity, and love for our land.
