Your experience

Fancy an authentic experience centred around traditional Italian cuisine? Come and visit us: Giorgio and I will welcome you into our home, in a historic Roman building, with a prosecco aperitif and a platter of selected cold cuts and cheeses, before we get cooking together. We’ll prepare ricotta and spinach ravioli, tagliatelle with Grandma’s ragù, and the ever-present tiramisu. In a warm, family atmosphere, we’ll share laughter, a passion for good food, and time-honoured, handmade recipes. And finally, the moment you’ve all been waiting for: we’ll taste your creations, accompanied by excellent wine and plenty of conviviality.

This was such a beautiful experience and highlight of our visit to Rome! We had so much fun getting to know the whole group. Maria and Giorgio were such kind hosts, we felt very welcomed into their home. Maria was very patient and helpful sharing techniques and it was particularly special to get to use a pasta guitar. The entire meal was delicious (the tiramisu was next level!). So grateful to have a home cooked meal and connect with such lovely people!

We had an absolutely amazing experience with this cooking class, everyone was super kind and welcoming, including the other students in our group, we felt a strong bond with everyone, and the quality of the teaching was very high. In general, everyone was super sweet, the food was amazing, and I would recommend to everyone.

We had the most incredible pasta and tiramisu cooking experience with Maria and Giorgio. They made us feel so welcome into their home and provided us with wonderful memories to share of our time in Rome. The food was delicious, and the evening was full of laughter and fun for all. I cannot recommend enough to book an experience with Maria and Giorgio when you visit the city of Rome. Thank you again so much for the loveliest evening for my husband and I!

A wonderful experience! Maria is a beautiful, warm, caring host and a wonderful cook. Maria and Giorgio welcomed us into their home and showed us a truly authentic Italian family experience. We learned how to make pasta and tiramisu from Maria and chatted about all sorts of topics, while sipping on Prosecco. We would highly recommend this experience for anyone who wants to get away from all the usual touristy-stuff and have Rome’s best tiramisu!

My mom and I spent our last night in Rome with Maria and Giorgio, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our entire trip. From the moment we arrived, Maria, her husband Giorgio, and their friends Isabella and Meriem made us feel genuinely welcomed, not like tourists, but like guests in their home. The pasta-making class itself was wonderful. We made three types of pasta, and Maria was an exceptional teacher throughout, patient, hands-on, and always thoughtful about explaining the why behind each step, not just the technique. Even as complete beginners, we felt confident and had a great time throughout. The meal that followed was something special. We were treated to a beautiful spread of antipasti in honor of Labor Day, including fava beans and pecorino cheese, along with artichokes, meatballs, fresh bread, pastries, and more. Everything was delicious and incredibly generous. What truly set this experience apart, though, was the warmth of the conversation. Isabella and Meriem graciously helped with translation where needed, and the conversation flowed naturally and openly from the start. We met each other with genuine curiosity and left feeling like the evening had been as much about real human connection as it was about food. At the end of the night, they even called a cab for us and waited with us until it arrived. That kind of hospitality is rare. Maria is a gem and her home is beautiful. I would recommend this experience to absolutely anyone visiting Rome.

I love preparing first courses with homemade pasta, such as maccheroni alla chitarra, ravioli, and lasagna, along with risottos and dried pasta dishes featuring mushrooms and various vegetables. I have happily experimented with many dishes from Abruzzese cuisine, including ndurciullune, pallotte cacio e ova, and stuffed rabbit. Additionally, whenever I have the chance, I enjoy being inspired by the typical cuisines of Tuscany and Lazio.
