Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina
Shared Experience
Your experience
Join a refined vegan Roman cooking class in a villa surrounded by greenery, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees from which I derive my precious extra-virgin olive oil, which we will taste on mixed bruschetta during an aperitif with Prosecco. Together we will prepare ravioli stuffed with seasonal vegetables, the characteristic artichokes alla Giudia or alternatively stuffed squash blossoms in crispy batter, and a delicious tiramisu with handmade vegan ladyfingers. Come and enjoy an authentic experience among nature, tradition and unforgettable genuine flavors.
Christina was a warm and welcoming host who invited us into her beautiful home and garden for an unforgettable evening. Surrounded by olive trees, many of which provide the olives for her own delicious olive oil, and the fragrance of blooming jasmine, we immediately felt at home.
Our class was a private experience for just me, my husband, and our 20 year old son. Christina guided us through making fresh pasta dough from scratch and then taught us how to shape it into four different types of pasta. While the dough rested, we enjoyed appetizers and wine. One of the highlights was tasting Christina's own olive oil, made from the olive trees in her garden. It was absolutely delicious and made the experience feel even more personal and authentic.
Christina explained the similarities and differences between four traditional sauces and showed us how to prepare each one. The entire evening was relaxed, engaging, and filled with great food, conversation, and hospitality. A word of advice: do not take your plate without permission. There is a method to Christina's process!
Of everything we did during our time in Rome, we all agreed that this experience was the highlight of our trip. If you are looking for an authentic and personal Italian cooking experience, I cannot recommend Christina highly enough.

Cristina was most welcoming and informational when teaching my husband and I during our cooking class. It ended up just being the 2 of us and couldn’t have been more perfect! She explained everything patiently. Her home and environment were beautiful! We learned so much and had a blast learning three new pasta recipes!! We could not recommend this class with Cristina more. This is an experience we will talk about forever!

I had a great time! I was lucky to be alone during this course, we had a good discussion despite the language barrier and I learned a lot thanks to these lessons. Thank you again! I’m leaving with a very good memory.

Cristina welcomes her guests in a villa surrounded by greenery with large outdoor spaces and large windows, where you can admire the garden and the centuries-old olive trees. A little corner of paradise not far from the center of the Eternal City. "Since my tender age I have always looked with admiration the love with which my grandmother, of Apulian origins, worked for hours in the kitchen. I still remember her hands and her aprons, often soiled with flour and the aroma of 'good things and genuine' that spread throughout the house and enveloped me in a pleasant feeling of well-being."
