My wife and I enjoy taking cooking classes when we travel. When we were in Rome recently we attended a cooking class hosted by Valeria and Valentina D., aka, Vale and Vale. We could not have had be better experience! The session started with a trip to the local farmers' market and a detailed review of the local seasonal vegetables and fruit. There was plenty of questions and answers during this walk through. Products for the class were purchased as well. We then were hosted in Valeria's home for the class. What a treat! Vale and Vale had reached out before hand for information on any restrictions or allergies, etc. The menu for the class was adapted based on our responses. We put on our aprons and helped prepare the vegetables for the risotto meal. Then we had a hands on lesson on how to make tiramisu. Valeria, the Queen of Risotto per Valentina, then called us into the kitchen and showed us her secrets on how to prepare risotto. We then sat down to a scrumptious fresh vegetable risotto meal with a glass of white wine or sparkling water followed by tiramisu. Delicious! At the end of the cooking sessions not only did we have new recipes but new friends as well. What a splendid way to spend our time. Many thanks to Vale and Vale for their love of cooking and sharing it with others.

We had an EXCELLENT experience with Valentina and Valeria!! They were so warm and friendly and we were honored to be welcomed into Valeria’s home. They very patiently taught us how to make ravioli, fettuccine and tiramisu. We then thoroughly enjoyed having the meal with them. They also gave us lots of very helpful information about Rome in general, and even helped us understand how to easily catch a train the next day! The company provided exceptional communication including reminders and extremely clear instructions about where to meet. We highly recommend Cesarine and honestly feel like we have made friends in Rome because of this wonderful experience.

Unforgettable experience with Valeria, both for the cooking and for the numerous topics of discussion during the morning. Her mastery of French is also an asset for fully enjoying the experience.

Parioli is a Roman neighborhood that holds a unique charm. It distinguishes itself by its marvelous buildings and large green areas. This neighborhood offers up so many different facets and after the Second World War it began to get noticed, becoming the hang out place of famous movie stars, important theater actors and diplomats from all over the world. The history of Parioli, however, dates back to the Roman period. Later, during the Middle Ages, the neighborhood was known as "Pelaiolo", a peasant term referring to the fruit of the pear tree. We greet you here in Parioli in our period home. Both lovers of the culinary arts, we have always enjoyed spending lots of time cooking and trying out new recipes, from the past and present. Our dishes are full of the memories and flavors of childhood, and our table setting is elegant and full of colors that vary according to the seasons. Our preparations tend to revolve around baked goods (bread, breadsticks, taralli), all strictly homemade using our own sourdough starter and extra virgin olive oil which we also produce ourselves.
