Learn the recipe for a foolproof pizza that you can easily replicate in your home oven!
I'll host you in my kitchen and teach you the dough for a long rising (24-48 h) pan pizza made with sourdough. We will range from the classic margherita with stracciatella and basil to fancier toppings using local seasonal produce. We will also make the dough for a focaccia with rosemary from my garden and olives. I will teach you all my tricks, from salting to hydrating the dough. Finally, the ever-present coffee tiramisu with chocolate chips! We will see together the many different ways to plate it.

- I wish we could give more than 5 stars! Delia was a delightful teacher- knowledgeable, patient and exceptionally well prepared. We learned how to prepare focaccia, different kinds of pizza and an exceptional tiramisu. This was truly a farm to table experience. We watched her pick fresh tomatoes and herbs from her garden only to incorporate this fresh bounty into our meal. The highlight of the experience was sharing this beautiful meal with our host. We learned about life in Italy and many of the rich traditions of her family. This experience was one of the highlights of our trip. We recommend her to you without reservation.
- Simply amazing! This was a true experience in every sense. Delia is a natural host and it was a privilege to be able to learn alongside her. The ambience was perfect and we felt truly welcomed in her family home. I cannot rate her and her wonderful family highly enough. If you want a true life experience of cooking an Italian pizza alongside someone who is a natural cook then look no further!
- The best local Italian experience we could have asked for with Delia in her family home. I booked it as a surprise for my mum’s birthday and Delia went above and beyond to make it special for her. We made various pizzas, focaccia tiramisu and ice cream! Delia was an amazing host/chef and we felt so welcome and lucky to spend a day in her company. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an authentic cooking experience around Verona.

And not to forget; the focaccia, pizza’s and tiramisu were delicious. We had a great experience and we will definitely come back next time we visit lake Garda!
- Wow ! What an experience. Delia and her family welcomed our group of 7 into their home and treated us as if we were family. The interaction between Delia and her family was truly amazing. The food was amazing and our kids haven’t stopped talking about it. A must do experience.

Cesarina from 2024Location: Bardolino Languages: Italian, English, Spanish, German, French, PortugueseI love making bread and pizza with sourdough and a minimum 24-hour fermentation, fresh pasta (like tagliatelle, gnocchi, and tortellini filled with herbs and typical cheeses, or with pumpkin), and risottos (such as Amarone and Monte Veronese or vegetable risottos from my garden). In our home, we are all vegetarians/vegans, so I prefer ingredients of plant origin. However, I can also cook well with animal-based ingredients if guests want to try some typical Venetian dishes! For example, risotto with "tastasal" (sausage), boiled meat with "pearà," "pokenta," and stew.
